"Every person sees the world in a unique way. When someone dies it is in a way, the death of an entire world."

The silent pleading I had once muttered, did not pay off this time. As the doorbell shrilled for the third time I hoped maybe I wouldn't have to get up. Mittens let out a small meow as she cuddled against me, I sighed "I can't do this."
With that sentiment, I could hear a door opening and unfamiliar voices mixing with those of my parents. They too sounded as if they shared the enthusiasm my parents had. I couldn't find any good coming from our move to this new city, which I knew now is called Bell Valley.
I decided it would just be best to curl up and hide under the covers in my unfamiliar room hoping that I may just escape reality, my only comfort was the now purring cat close to me.
I started school in 2 days.
I didn't have many friends at my old school, again I wasn't leaving any broken hearts behind so I don't see a reason to try here. I've gotten along fine practically alone. I knew I'd be meeting many new people the day after tomorrow so I hoped my parents would grant me the ability to save my energy until then.
I should have expected it, anyone could predict what occurred next. The door across my room opened slowly before my mom popped her head in. Her familiar soft voice filled the otherwise silent room.
"Noah, honey there's some people here. Their our across the street neighbours, they have a daughter about your age, leave Mittens and come say hello. I want you to make some friends." The most mom thing she could have said erupted from her lips.
Great someone who I would probably be attending school with, I hated the idea already. I quietly uttered "Alright I'll be out in a few."
I pulled the covers off my body, immediately being met with the cool air around me.
Shivering slightly I picked up Mittens and placed her in the cat tree beside my bed, I covered her with the rag she liked to use as a blanket before kissing her nose and turning to the boxes that littered my floor.
"Which one are they in..." I pondered quietly to myself as I searched among the boxes for the one that had 'Noah's most prized possessions' written in big slightly sloppy sharpie letters on top. I finally found the box after what seemed like an eternity, I was definitely taking my time.
I used my nails to somewhat break the tape so I could get to my hoodies. I chose one that had a little cow in a field on the back and slipped it over my head. I grabbed my shoes before leaving my room, shutting the door behind me again so Mittens wouldn't run out.
I stopped my single foot hopping as I arrived at the front door. I opened it slowly and was met with not one but three people, a bald man and a blonde curly haired woman were holding hands, I naturally assumed them to be a couple. They were joined by a young teenage girl who shared the same blonde hair as her mother I assumed, as my mother said, she was most likely my exact age. The bald man was first to speak, his voice was monotone yet held much expression.
"Hi there son, I'm Mr. Green." He stuck his hand out, I wasn't one for physical contact with strangers but I hesitantly shook it anyway. "This is my wife Bella and our daughter Olivia." Before I could voice a simple hello my father butted in. "You two are going to the same school, that's wonderful you'll already know someone."
I looked to the ground still unsure of the whole situation, my voice like the whisper of a mouse."Yea, uh wonderful. Nice to meet you." I added a small smile to the end of my words as I didn't want to come off as a jerk, I just didn't take well to introductions.
