My eyes were focused on the tall man standing in front of us that announced himself as the proctor of the first exam.
"First! You candidates from the Village Hidden in the Sound! Knock it off, who told you could fight?! You wanna be failed before we even begin?!" He commanded.
"Sorry. It's our first time. Guess we're a little jumpy," A guy with a bandage on his face said.
"Hm. I'll say this once, so listen! There will be no combat between candidates. No attacking each other without permission of your proctor! And even then, the use of fatal force is strictly prohibited! Anyone who thinks of messing with me will be disqualified immediately. Got it?" Ibiki said.
"No fatal force? That's no fun," The spiky hair sound ninja said.
"Now, if we're ready. We'll proceed to the first stage of the Chunin exam. Handover your paperwork," Ibiki informed. "Turn over your applications in return you'll each be given a number and this will determine where you will sit. We'll start the written test once you're all seated."
'Written test that not too hard.' I thought feeling confident about the first exam.
"Did he say written?" I heard Naruto uttered. I turned to see Naruto sweating profusely.
"NO, NOT A WRITTEN TEST! NO WAY!"

Third person's P.O.V
Kaiya found her seat and saw that she had the seat next to a female ninja from the Hidden grass village.
"Hello i'm Kaiya," Kaiya greeted as she took her seat next to the Hidden grass shinobi. The grass shinobi's onyx drifted over to Kaiya's direction, but she didn't utter a word to the girl just looked at her.
'Those beautiful eyes, pale skin, and name so similar to my baby girl. She has grown so much. I wonder how strong of a shinobi she became. ' The grass shinobi thought looking at the girl before turning their attention off of her and back on the front of the classroom.
Kiaya shrugged seeing that the person next to her wasn't much of a talker, but something about then made her wanted to get to know them more. Kaiya cupped her hands in front of her mouth as she leaned close to the person's ear.
"Good luck," she whispered. "I hope you pass the first exam you seem smart."
The grass shinobi looked at her with curious eyes. 'She has her mother's kind and friendly personality. She doesn't even know me yet here she is talking to me all friendly.' They thought looking at Kaiya.
"Everyone eyes upfront," Ibiki's voice made Kaiya turn away from the hidden grass shinobi. Her eyes went to the front where Ibiki was standing in front of a blackboard.
"There are several important rules you need to be aware of, and I won't answer any questions, so you better pay attention the first time."
"Rule number one, the exam is conducted on a point reduction system. Contrary to what some of you may be used to, you'll begin the test with the perfect score of ten points. A single point will be deducted for each answer you get wrong. If you miss three, your final will be seven."
Kaiya nodded as she rested her chin on the palm of her hand. The first rule made sense, she wasn't too nervous about getting too many answers wrong.
"Rule number two, teams will pass or fail based on the total score of all three members."
Kaiya looked at where her two teammates were sitting. She wasn't worried about her Hyuga teammate a little worried about Aito since he wasn't the best with book smarts, but he smarter than Naruto.
"We will be fine Aito will figure the answers out somehow," Kaiya muttered believing In her teammate.
"What? Wait a second! You're saying that we all get scored as a team!" Sakura exclaimed, baffled by the second rule.
"Shut up!" Ibiki snapped, and Sakura frowned at his rudeness." I have my reasons, so shut and listen seems you didn't hear me say I won't answer questions. The third rule, the sentinels you see positioned around the room are there to watch for any signs of cheating. For anyone, they spot cheating, they will subtract two points from the culprits' score. After five times, you'll be dismissed."
Kaiya nodded starting to understand the point of the test a little bit better.
"Anyone foolish enough to be caught by the sentinels doesn't deserve to be here! If you want to be considered shinobi, then show what exceptional shinobi you can be."
Kaiya narrowed her eyes thinking about everything Ibiki, "There is clearly more to test because that last rule definitely doesn't make sense. You should be losing more points for cheat," she whispered to herself.
The grass shinobi look at Kaiya with a slightly impressed look on her face hearing what she just whispered to herself. 'Well, my little girl grew into a smart shinobi. She might of not figure out the point of the exam yet, but she did figure that there more to this test.'
"One more thing if any candidate should fail the test, then the entire team fails," Ibiki added on his list of rules.
Kaiya nodded seeing that part made sense to her after all a team is supposed to work together.
Yet failing was not an option, not when they got so far since they have become genin. They all have dreams and goals to accomplish.
"The final question won't be given out until fifteen minutes before the end of the testing period. You'll have one hour in total.
The clock ticked, and the toom was silent. Kaiya's hand hovered above her test waiting for the test to start.
When the minute hand hit the number twelve, Ibiki turned to the contestants.
" BEGIN!"
