How the Paw Patrol became the Paw Patrol || ON HOLD ||

"Happy birthday, Sweetie! Today is your first birthday! Let's get you dressed! We have a party at 10am!"

All members of Mr Bailey's Fireman crew came with their fire dogs , as did Ms Bailey's Police squad with their police dogs, their relatives and friends. Ryder looked at them with big eyes, he thought,

"What is happening? Did I pee in my pants again? Why are all these people and big furred things smiling and showing their tongues at me? What are they so excited for? Huh? What is that? It looks like boxes with ropes on them, and ropes hanging from the ceiling! And something smells great!"

"Surprise! Happy Birthday!" they all shouted and the dogs howled

"Let's cut your cake!"

At the same time, Ryder understood a bit of what was happening,

"Aha! So that is what that great-smelling thing is called, a cake! So, then, what is a birthday? And what are those big furry things? Mmmmmm, yummy! This cake thing is delicious!"

"Time to open your presents!" Mr Bailey yelled.

There were a ton and a half presents put on the sofa. Ryder beamed and rushed towards them, but as he got there he was confused, "How do I play with these stuff?"

Ms Bailey answered his question,

"Look at me! You have to open it to play! See? You can pull the ribbons and then rip it open! Now it's your turn!"

Ryder soon was ripping all the presents festively. He got a bunch of things, Toy police cars, ambulances, trucks, fire engines, boats, helicopters, recycling trucks, bulldozers, motorcycles; Teddy bears, stuffed animals like dogs and giraffes; fairy tale books and non-fiction books and dress-up clothing for politicians and firemen...

"Do you like them?" Ryder nodded.

The whole day, they played in the yard and with the dogs, read books and played games.

Finally the day ended with cheerful goodbyes...
