Ryder was sitting there with his head buried in his knees. Suddenly, he heard rustling in the bushes.

"Who's there? Show yourself!" He stood up and yelled in the direction. Aunt Cassie, Chase, Daniel and Katie came out.

"We are sorry that we scared you, Ryder"

"It's okay..."

"I actually have other things to tell you children, but I am afraid that you won't want to hear this."

"No, no, I think that we are able to handle this, we are already in a sad mood"

"Well, okay *BIG sniff* Daniel...Your parents also died due to them breathing too much smoke"

Ryder was shocked, not about his friend's parent's death, but that he was seeing Daniel cry. He never cried before.

"Ar-are we coming to live with you, Aunt Cassie?"

She shook her head sadly, "Sorry children, but...I'm too busy"

"But can't Katie's mom take care of us?"

"No, and about that...She...well... "

"Well?"

"Found a job in the city"

"But that is great news!"

"No, that means she and Katie are moving to the city. So she is busy"

"But, me and Daniel will still be together...right?" Ryder asked carefully

"About that...Daniel is going to live with his Uncle...'

"S-so that means...(Orphanage)alone?"

"*Sigh* I guess so"

The next day, Aunt Cassie gave them a ride to their four destinations.

Worse things were that animals were not allowed to the orphanage, so for the first time, Ryder and Chase were separated.

The goodbyes were painful, especially for Ryder and Chase. Showers of tears came down unstoppably, and could not be put to an end. When Ryder, the last one to be dropped off, stepped into the orphanage, tears were still dropping.

"Ciao e Buon compleanno, young man. I heard that it's your birthday! Also, you must be Ryder Bailey! I'm Sofia Giovanno Brambilla, but call me Mrs Brambilla or Sofia. Let me show you your room."

She lead him upstairs to a hallway with doors on each side, "You will be paired with nine other kids that are here, you're living in Maple Dorm's house leaf in room 3#" she explained, then opened the door to Maple Dorm.

Ryder looked inside and saw nine other kids around his age sitting in the main room of the dorm.

"Hello! I'm Luke! And that's my little sister, Leilani!"

"I'm Eric!"

"I'm"..........

"Hi" Ryder muttered without any enthusiasm while he entered the house leaf's and stepped into his room.

It wasn't much; There was a big window letting in sunshine with fabric currents; a bed with light blue sheets and a sam coloured blanket and a white pillow. There were boxes underneath that carry more sheets, pillows and blankets (The bed is sitting beside the window); A closet was sitting right at the back of the bed; Last but not least, there is a desk with a chair at the base of the window.

Ryder dropped another few tears as he began to take out things from his suitcase.

He felt his heart ache and crack a bit as he took out a picture of Chase, Mom, Dad, Katie, Daniel, Carlos and him on his fifth birthday and put it on the desk.

He grabbed the other things and put them in the places they belong.

That night, Ryder had a hard time sleeping, he kept thinking about Chase, Katie and Daniel, and if his parents had really died.

He sighed, "I'm six, I'm grown up, I can take care of myself. When I get older, I'll get out of here and find Chase and get him back"
