I never thought the monsters the Corrupted King made were human in appearance. If that is true, then hunting down all his beasts would be difficult. There is no way for me to tell who a monster under his command is. I let go of the boy's hand and ran back out the door.
"Kid!" Zelme called after me but I could not stop myself.
I got back on Nordon and he galloped back to the trail I used to get back here. I saw trouble up ahead and heard the clashing of swords. I summoned the bow once again when I saw beasts and the lords trying to fend off a pack of beasts I had seen in the Isles, frost wolfgons. Annalise and her father managed to keep them at bay, but I loaded my bowed and fired at the one about to pounce on Annalise. It skewered the beast through its eye as it howled in agony. The other wolfgons noticed me and rushed me instead of the lords.
"Your Highness," Annalise noticed they quickly changed objectives.
I swapped elements in an instant to summon a blade of white flame in place of a bow. Nordon reared up and I let Nordon clear out of my range. I smirked and leaped off Nordon onto the snow. I rushed the wolfgons slicing through them easier than in the grove. Cutting off their heads one after another was all I could do from getting bitten myself.
Hands clapped and my attention caught we had an audience. I slew the last one with ease, but not before I noticed a flicker of the Valkrylupis in front of me. As soon as I saw it, a group of people stood at my right side. One of them was the one who killed that boy's companions. I sneered.
"Guess you got the message then, Prince of Wolves. Unique for your kind to recognize the predicament that could not be read unless you happen to have the eyes of the one who can see." The man spoke and I noticed more of his features than I did before. He was tall with rigged clothes that smelt of fresh and dried blood.
I kept my blade close. "Monsters like you should not ever be created, and your master should know I will not bow to him."
A woman next to him had a curl to her red lips and looked like a lady only less dignified with her eyes staring at me lustfully. "Someone likes playing games when he is not much different from us."
I sent my flame sword away and kicked the wolfgon corpses. "If anyone is playing games, it would be your master. First, he sends Ravela but when his puppet picked the wrong fight, he sends the lot of you." I scoffed and smirked. "Coward who cannot command anyone with his heart just preys on the fears of others. I am done with prophecies and him too, so how about you tell him to fight me instead of making a mockery of my world."
"Your world?" The man chuckled and walked up to me. "You sure believe you can rule it then." He leered.
The others behind him grinned.
"Rule?" I smirked and I threw a fist aiming for his left jaw. He vanished and his chuckle came again.
"If that is all you have, you are not even a threat."
I scowled and remembered Judas telling me that my opponents vary and often look to point out your flaws, so all I need to do was outsmart them. I know my flaws, but my strengths will not be ignored. The force of my destructive power smacked into the man knocking him to the ground and his eyes gleamed with joy.
He sat up and his grin widened. "Aw going to play nice are we, then maybe I should oblige you?"
I rushed him and crushed his ribs with a punch that I sent through him. I jerked my fist back to see black blood on my arm. "I am nothing like you lot, so be my guest thinking you have anything worth obliging me with. Do not test me with the same tricks Ravela did, you will find mercy has run out." I destroyed the black blood on my arm and frowned. "See I am not like your master; he wants to rule the world. What I want is different and monsters like you would never understand the difference between beast and man."
