They leaped to Havenfield. Sophie couldn't believe Daphne agreed to come much less without her appearance changing elixirs. They both agreed that Daphne's ability to get past Sophie's blocking and the threat that posed to them both was high enough to tell everyone.
What Daphne didn't know was that before they had met at their lockers Sophie had called everyone. Forkle -who then called the Collective-, the Council, Team Valiant, Fitz, Tam, Linh, Marella, Maruca, and she even had Elwin leap away from Keefe at the Healing Center. She didn't know what was going on but, she knew it would change everything they thought they knew and that affected everyone.
There was a collective gasp when they walked into the room. Daphne was surprised at the number of people they were able to fit into the living room at Havenfield -if she was being honest it still surprised Sophie too- and everyone else was surprised when two Sophies walked into the room.
"I know you all have questions and we do too. We will tell you everything we know but then, and this is directed at the Collective, Mr. Forkle specifically, we get to ask our questions. Deal?" The amount of confidence Sophie was radiating surprised everyone.
"I think we can agree to that." Mr. Forkle responded."Ok then I'll let Daphne here," she said, gesturing to Daphne, "help me tell you what we know."
After they had said everything they knew they looked at Mr. Forkle as if waiting for an explanation.
He seemed to hesitate but then said, "I will not lie to you on this; I will give you the full truth. Ask whatever questions you want and I will answer. However, I will not tell you who your biological parents are; they are not part of this." Sophie saw The-Councillor-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named slightly flinch out of the corner of her eye. "Who wants to ask the first question?" Mr. Forkle inquired.
"I will." Sophie volunteered, "Did you guys create her as you created me?"
"Yes," Mr. Forkle responded.
"Ok, then my turn. Do we have the same parents?" Daphne questioned.
"Yes. You have the same parents but, your DNA is not an exact match." Mr. Forkle answered.
"So if we're sisters and we're the same age are we twins?" Sophie countered.
"No, while you both were as you put it 'created' at the same time. I did not make your Inception Date the same. We- I did not want you to face the additional discrimination of being a multiple-birth. My apologies Tam and Linh." He added.
"It's fine," they responded.
"Daphne I know you probably have more questions but I'm confused. You hid me in the human world and then brought me here. If you did the same for Daphne why was she with Lady Gisela?" Sophie looked puzzled as she asked the question.
Forkle looked sad as he said, "Ah! This is where I have regrets. Daphne says she has no memories of her first ten years of life. I believe this is because Gisela had them wiped from her to hide what she had done. I just now put it together myself. I believe that Daphne here is Eleanor Olivia Wright the daughter of the man we believed was in a car accident that Lady Gisela caused."
