We're only young and naive still
It was (y/n) and Lovino's last day of freedom before going off to college. Although, from the looks of it, it was more like their last night. (Y/n) was going to a college in America, while Lovino was staying in Italy. It was their last day to live wild and act like kids again. Tomorrow, they'd have to wake up and leave each other behind.
The bittersweet between my teeth
The paid ran around the field, Lovino trying to catch up with ever before she came to a slow stop next to a big tree. Lovino began to pant next to her. "What- the fuck are you doing, idiota!" He tried to yell as he gasped for air. "We have less than 12 hours to do everything we want. And we have to start and end where it all started. This tree." Lovino blushed. "It's not going to end, idiota. We'll sti-" "nope we have to save that for later tonight. I don't wanna cry before we do all the things we haven't before." She gave a long, sweet kiss to her boyfriend of 3 years. She smiled as she pulled away and ran into town "we start now!" She laughed. Lovino gave a loud groan with a small smile on his face. He was going to miss this.
Trying to find the in-betweens
Fall back in love eventually
The duo spent the night venturing to parts of the large town they'd never seen, and revisiting the places of their memories. Their elementary school, their favorite restaurant, and their favorite gelato restaurant. It was already nearing 3 AM, and their journey would soon have to come to a close, but as (y/n) said, they had to come back to where it all began.

Lovino was only six years old, yet he felt so much pain. Most children were considered to be so happy and cheerful but Lovino had so much pain in him. Everyone picked his younger brother over him, everyone loved his younger brother more than him. "That's why grandpa Rome left." Lovino said defeated. Everywhere he went people hated him or bullied him. Hinting as to why he was here. A group of older kids were taunting him and followed him out of the school. No one seemed to truly care though. "Not even that bastardo Spa-" Lovino was cut off from his lament to the sound of Spain's voice and a smaller girl's voice. "He's here." A small girl with (h/c) hair and the small school uniform stepped in front of him. "I'm sorry I didn't come sooner or help, I didn't know how but your papa was looking for you so I helped." "That bastardo is-a not my papa!" Lovino said, a slight blush on his face as Spain picked him up. The girl smiled "my name's (y/n)". "Lovino" he said grumpily. "It's nice to finally meet you, Lovino."
___________________________We lie beneath the stars at night
Our hands gripping each other tight
They lay on their backs, holding the other's hand as tight as can be, as to make sure they didn't lose each other. "I'm going to miss you more than anything, (y/n). I've grown up with you and you kept me around even when no one else. I know I can be rash sometimes, but dammit. I'm gonna fucking miss you. And I know you promised you're gonna come back over the breaks but I can't wait that long, I've never had to be with out you before and all of this is so foreign to me. I know you have to, but I still don't want you to go, (y/n) I'm gonna miss you so much and I love you more than I've ever loved anything." A few tears rolled down Lovino's soft cheeks and (y/n) wiped her own away. "You took everything I could have possibly said and multiplied it. When there's a break I'll be back at the drop of a dime. You're my best friend, Lovino. I really mean it. I've never met anyone like you and no one has had a change in me like you have. I love you so much." Tears rolled down her face. This was the hardest thing she personally has ever had to do. Saying goodbye to the one you love and not being sure if things would ever be the same was terrifying, and depressing. She snuggled deeper into her loving boyfriend, knowing that in 6 hours she'd have to board her plane to America, an unfamiliar country and begin an unfamiliar life. With a small kiss between the two the began to fall asleep, right where it began.
