She stood at the window with a cup of hot chocolate, staring at the pale grey sky. Lovino should have been back by now, and the storm was getting worse. Rain knocked on the window, begging to be let in. She sighed turning away to sit on the couch, trying to take her mind off things.
As the storm progressed, her fears began to rise. A roar of laughter from the sky was given to her, causing the young woman to cry out. She huddled in fear, almost on the verge of crying. "when is he going to get here?" (y/n) asked to herself. Another sound of thunder followed by lightning occurred, causing the one thing she didn't want to happen; the lights to go out. She was devoured in darkness and fear. As the storm raged on (y/n) became more and more afraid. Tears streamed down her face at a rapid speed. The door suddenly slammed open followed by loud curses. "Damn. This fucking storm I swear to god." Lovino said. He heard quiet sobs. "(y/n)?" She lifted up her head slightly and ran into her boyfriend's arms, crying uncontrollably. "What's wrong?" "The- the... The storm, the thunder, the dark..." "You're afraid... Shit, I'm sorry, (y/n). I should've been here I just was caught up in traffic and. I'm sorry."
The smaller girl nodded her head. "It's ok, Lovino." "No, it's not. Hey how about we light a fire and go to sleep right here in the living room?" (y/n) nodded her hand holding a teddy bear Lovino had given her.
She sat on the couch and watched as Lovino's darkened figure danced around the room. Within a few minutes, the fire had been lit, and light flew around the room.
"There, it's all better now " Lovino spoke softly as he wrapped an arm around her. She nodded, leaning further into him.
Before she was asleep, snuggled deeply into her lover, and warmed by his embrace. Soon, he followed suit, the storm finally quieting down with them.
