7. I cant believe it!

Y/N P.O.V.

The next day during class professor McGonagall announced the yule ball. She had asked Ron to show us how to dance and I couldn't help but laugh, I was able to keep it silent.

I looked at the twins and they were haveing a blast about Ron dancing with McGonagall.

I was really excited, hoping for George to ask me but that was unlikely because I'm positive he didn't like me the way I liked him.

McGonagall told us to pair up with the opposite gender, none of the boys stood up but Neville Longbottom. All of the girls avoided him because they thought he was weird. I decided too stand up and dance with him, he wasn't the best dancer but I could tell he was going to get better with practice.

We practiced the dance, I was surprisingly good at dancing considering I've only taken like 2 classes, Neville on the other hand wasnt getting it.

"Hey Y/N, would you like to maybe help me practice later?"

"I would love to help you Neville."

After that we had lunch, I was trying to think of what to do if someone asks me because I want George to ask me but if he doesn't then I need another date.

George P.O.V.

After I heard of the yule ball I knew who I wanted to ask. I just didn't know if I should, I didn't want to get rejected. I thought all day of how i should ask her. I couldn't stop staring at her, she was so beautiful. I knew the best way to ask her, but I needed help.

Y/N P.O.V.

After I finished all of my classes it was dinner. I always loved the dinner food, it always tasted so good. When I sat down no one was around me, about 2 minutes later someone came and tapped on my shoulder and I turned around.

"Y/N, would you do me the honor and accompany me to the yule ball?" It was Cedric, I've never really spoken to him, I didn't want to hurt his feelings so I just said "I'll think about it, sorry."

He left with a sad look on his face and when I turned around and the twins just popped out of no where. "What did Diggory want." George asked with a sour tone.

"He just asked me too the ball." They were shocked but didn't say anything. "I would like it if you weren't so shocked someone actually asked me." "Sorry." They said at the same time.

After that I got up and walked away. Before I was able to get to my dorm Seamus Finnigan stopped you, "Hey Y/N, would you go to the ball with me?" I hesitated for a second "I'll think about it, sorry."

He looked sad then said "Its alright take your time, I understand." Then he let me wall away. I went right up to my dorm because no one was in the common room. Then Neville came down and we practiced the dance, we stayed there for about an hour or so and then I went up to my dorm. I assumed he would continue to practice considering he wasn't getting it quite yet.

When I got up there Hermione was there and she could see something was wrong because that's the first thing that came out of her mouth.

"Oh, ummm. I dont know what to do because Seamus Finnigan and Cedric Diggory asked to the yule ball, but I want to go with someone else."

She looked at me and just said "Who do you want to go with then?" I hesitated to tell her than said "George" she was shocked, "oh, well good for you." After that she went downstairs and I just went to lay down.

George P.O.V.

I have to think of a perfect way to ask Y/N to the ball because Diggory already did.
