[ n. s - valentines ]

The entire day at school on February 14th was spent in anxiousness as she tried to build up the courage to give the guy she liked something. He was always nearby, seemingly showing up wherever she would go.
His tall stature was hard to miss. His silky white and blue eyes were even harder to miss. He was absolutely handsome with those heaven sent features that she had grown to love.
His personality was hard to pin point since he could be quiet but also talkative if he wanted to. She had liked his personality but loved it more as she got to know him more.
By the time their last period had come around, she was panicking. If she didn't give it to him now, she'd never be able to. This was her last chance to ever give him the chocolate.
"I don't wanna teach today, so I'll put on a film." The teacher announced as he set up the projector and his laptop to play a random movie on Netflix. Everyone shut the windows and doors to make it dark for that theatre vibe.
Sitting down in her seat, she glanced over at Nagi who was already beginning to fall asleep after two minutes of the movie. Eventually, he slumped over with his head on his arms as he slept with his head facing her.
The class was silent as they watched the movie displayed on the whiteboard before them. She slumped down to mimic his position with her arms rested on the desk and her head on top of it. She slowly turned sideways to look at Nagi's sleeping face. He was so close yet so far. It was nerve racking to be so close but unable to touch him.
She wanted to cry out in frustration from her inability to be brave and give it to him. What the worst thag could happen?
A lot, actually.
He's just so handsome. Why did he have to be so cute? I'm gonna scream. My heart is racing so much. He's so close.
"What're you looking at?"
His voice was husky, deeper than usual since he had just woken up a moment ago. He couldn't lie but his heart slightly skipped a beat when he opened his eyes to see her pretty eyes gazing at him. "You weirdo."
Flustered, she pouted and looked away to hide her flushed cheeks. "I wasn't looking at you. I was looking at your hair."
The male nodded, not necessarily believing her half-assed excused. Still, he chose not to call upon it because he had another goal in mind.
"Hey," he called out, scooting closer so that his head was practically laying on her desk. She peered over, feeling her heart nearly leap out of her chest because of how close he was. "Do you have a Valentine?"
She had to take a moment to process what she had just heard leave his lips.
"Huh-" The girl nearly combusted but collected herself enough to shake her head awkwardly. "No..."
"Oh, okay."
The way he turned away from her abruptly made her jump slightly. She stared at his broad back in worry and wondered if she had embarrassed herself by saying no. Did he think I'm lame or something?
Before she could even panic for too long, he turned back around, laid his head on his desk and held something out to her. Her eyes went wide. It was a large chocolate in the shape of a heart with her name messy scribbled on the box. Looking up, she noticed how Nagi buried his head in his arms, hiding his face.
"You know, since it's...and I, uh...like...you" he trailed off in an attempt to be cool about it but failed miserably. He didn't know how to say it in a stable manner because of how much his heart was pounding in his chest.
She could see the bright pink hue of his ears which made her feel giddy inside. Reaching over into her bag, she brought out the small gift she had bought for him a few days ago. Placing it on the desk beside him, she smiled.
"Thank you, Nagi-kun. I like you too."
Hearing those words made his heart soar. He didn't know if he had heard her right or if he was dreaming.
Lifting his head, he looked over at the girl who grinned and held the chocolate close to her chest.
Reaching up, he scratch the back of his neck and looked over to the side. "Do you want to get ice cream after school?"
The girl smiled and nodded, "sure."
Reaching over, he grabbed her hand and intertwined their fingers, letting their hands rest on his thigh. Based on the way their hands were sweaty, they could both tell that they were nervous. It was almost too cute.

"This is a disgusting to watch." Rin said as he sat behind Nagi and [y/n] who were now on cloud nine. He had his elbow rested on the desk, propped up to support his head. "Morons."
The girl beside him leaned over, shooting him a flat look. "I think it's nice. Besides, my loving boyfriend got me a big box of sweets and his jersey for Valentine's Day, so that might've been more disgusting to watch for others."
Rin's face reddened. "Tch, quit bringing that up already. It been three hours already." He scoffed as he wrapped his arm around her shoulders, pulling his girlfriend closer.
She chuckled, "I'll never stop bringing it up. But for now, let's congratulate these two for finally confessing."
"No, that sounds annoying."
"Well, too bad."
