[ i. r - safe ]
---
[y/n] could feel tears brewing in the crevices of their eyes as they sat across from Rin, the only boy they had ever come to love. The dwindling emotions in their heart was forcing its way out through any open source to display just how they felt.
"God, you know how much I hate Sae. I get that he's your brother and all, but I just can't forgive what he did to you." They aggressively swiped the tears that rolled down their cheeks, looking back at the painful thoughts. "You were so sweet and cute back then. I can't even recognize you nowadays."
The raven haired boy's eyes shifted from the floor to [y/n]'s face when they sniffled and let out a small, breathy sigh. His expression remained passive, void of emotions.
They smiled softly, reaching out to touch his cold cheek. The boy didn't flinch or move away, simply staring into [y/n]'s warm eyes. "I love you so much, you know? I only want the best for you."
The mere thought of what Sae had done to Rin and how he had treated his little brother all those times made [y/n] sick to their stomach. For someone to treat a person as precious as Rin like trash, was absolutely unbelievable to them. A boy who deserved to be treated with the utmost care had been neglected by the one person he needed love from the most.
"You're too precious. I want to take you, fold you up tiny and put you away in a small glass box. Far away from harm. I just want to keep you safe." They said with a sad smile, pulling their hand away from his face to wipe the remaining tears on their face. With a small sigh, they stood up from their chair and walked over to the door, hearing the clinking of chains follow.
"That's why, I'll do anything to keep you safe, okay?"
The muffled grunts and groans that left Rin's mouth fell on deaf ears as he tried to yank at the chains that bound his arms and legs to the bed.
[y/n] turned to Rin who had become aware once again of the situation he was in now that the medicine had worn off. They smiled a sad smile and leaned on the door. "It's okay, Rin. It sucks now, but you'll come to love it, I swear. Nothing will ever hurt you again. I'll make sure of it! You just have to stay with me, okay?"
They wiped the tears from their eyes, fishing the keys out of their pockets to lock the door. "It's okay, my love. No one can ever hurt you with me around."
And with that, they locked the basement door to leave him in complete darkness yet again.---
