Chapter 4

Derek's P.o.V
I spent a lot of time on this, while Braeden was asleep I jotted down all the reasons why I love her and all the reasons I don't....I couldn't really find any reason not to love her, don't get me wrong Brae does have some flaws....everybody does, sometimes I feel like she doesn't wanna commit, that's she's too independent and that she likes being a mercenary and sometimes that bothers me. But at the same time I love it. So the answer to my question was yes, I do love Braeden, very much so.

I just don't know if she loves me, and I wasn't sure how I should tell her I love her since she's different from any other woman I've been with. So I called over the pack, I mean they're high schoolers, they should have some good ideas.

"Oh I have the perfect idea, take her out to dinner maybe afterwards you guys could go dancing or you could just take her shopping, that's what I'd want done for me." Lydia says

"No offense Lydia but Braeden is nothing like you." Malia says, "Just flat out tell her you love her, Braeden is straightforward like me, so it should be effortless."
"Progress....." Stiles shrugs
"I like both ideas...." Kira says, "But maybe instead of dinner you should cook for Braeden here.....we can all help out, kinda like the date Scott and I had here."

I nodded actually liking that idea, but how was I gonna keep Braeden busy enough for me to do all this.
"There's just one problem." I say, "Braeden is gonna be home any minute from the grocery store and we need to get her out the house for a few hours."
"We'll take her to the mall!" Lydia suggests almost immediately
"Yeah, that sound fun." Kira adds
"If she even says yes."
"Well there is another problem Derek."
Scott says
"And what's that?" I ask raising my eyebrow
"Stiles and I don't know a thing about cooking." Scott says
"But mama McCall does." Kira says, "Ok, it's settled we distract Braeden and you guys cook and do whatever you have to do here."
Just then the door knob twisted open and Braeden walked in with lots of grocery bags, I walked over to her and took some of the bags out of her hand and pecking her lips.

"Hey babe." Braeden smiles, "Oh hey guys what's up?"
"The girls wanted to ask you something." I say nervously
"Ok...." Braeden says, "Shoot."
"Do you wanna go to the mall with us?" Kira asks
"Sure." Braeden says
"Really?" Kira asks again
"Yeah why not, I need new clothes anyways. Ones without rips, or gun residue." Braeden smiles
"Great!" Lydia smiles widely, "Let's go now."
"Are you gonna be ok while I'm gone?" Braeden asks turning to face me
"I've got Scott and stiles." I shrug
"Ok.....well try not to get too crazy." She smiles, "Bye guys."

We watched them walk out the door and then Scott quickly dialed his moms number while stiles ordered pizzas.
"What?" He says, "We're gonna get hungry."
Braeden's P.o.V
"Do you like dresses Braeden?" Lydia asks as we walk around the mall
"I haven't worn one since I was little." I say honestly

"What you need is the right dress, something to show off your figure, something Derek will love."
"Why would I care if Derek likes my dress or not, if I like it, I like it." I say
"Ok Braeden, deep down or in your own personal way I know you care what Derek thinks." Lydia starts, "You've just been a hard ass all your life and refuse to care just the slightest bit to make yourself happy."

"Wow....that was deep." Kira said, then we all started laughing, and deep down or way upon the surface I knew Lydia was speaking the truth. I loved Derek but I am what I am and I like who I am and I don't want Derek to force me to change but maybe changing won't be so bad, I don't wanna invest in one of my investments and then be tricked....but I do love Derek, like crazy.

Four hours at the mall with Lydia will drive you nuts, although Lydia is fun to be around she's a fashion maniac. I bought 4 dresses, a tight black one, a red maxi dress, a high low dress, and a grey Ruched & Knotted Asymmetrical dress that fit my form perfectly and shows off my legs. It reached past my knees in the back and came about mid-thigh in the front. I also bought some boots, wedges, high heels, and some high tops. Then some jeans and leggings, then tank tops, sweatshirts, hoodies, t-shirts, crop tops, shorts and then bras and panties. And last but not least we all went to the food court and bought food, then after a while we left since Kira said guy time was officially over. The girls thought I should surprise Derek by wearing one of the dresses and heels I bought, and then underneath one of the bra and pantie sets I bought from Victoria Secret. I decided to put on the red lace undergarments and then the grey dress and black wedges. When the girls dropped me off a Derek they started backing snide comments and making kissy noises causing me to laugh, I walked into his loft and pulled out my key and opened the door.
