Ushijima Wakatoshi was never good with emotions, not like Tendou- he always seemed so bright and out-going, always spoke what was on his mind, but Ushijima? He was quiet and somewhat closed off from everyone. He never liked asking for help or opening up, in the same way he didn't let people open up to him.
His volleyball team were the only friends he had, Tendou being the best friend. And, although he still didn't open up to them, he knew they were always there for him- or that's what he constantly told himself- Ushijima loved his friends, he dosen't show it but he would do anything for them, but that was the problem, he found himself getting too emotionally attached, something he always counted as a bad thing to do. After his parents got a divorce when he was seven, he started to lose himself, and when his father died 2 years later, he became depressed. For some reason, after his Father passed, his Mother started to lose interest in him, It had something to do with Ushijima being left handed, though he never understood why. She would take him to church, trying to get rid of his left hand, calling him a "Demon" as such.
Explenation: so In religions or sometimes just in general, Being left handed is veiwed as a sin and a sign of the devil. So in my AU, Ushijima's Mother was raised with strict and religous parents ending up with her being yhe same way, folllowing in their footsteps. She tries to get rid of Ushijima's Left hand but he refuses and so she leaves him alone, not looking after him, nor caring about his actions.
