I was deeply regretting my actions
You know why?
Because I don't have wifi.
I grabbed my phone out of my back pocket. It wasn't broken, score! And it still opened! But wait..... my eyes drifted up to the corner of my phone and my face dropped, ptsd rushing back into my head from the time I got stuck in a tree when trying to sneak out of my window at 3am to get McDonalds and forgot my phone inside. Or the time I dropped my cell in the toilet and got splashaphonia. I can't live without the cellular device. I screamed theatrically and fell to the ground, promptly causing a shadow to fall over my body as valkerie, Loki, and Thor leaned over me.
"Are you alright daughter of Dow?" I blinked for a moment and held back my laughter, gathering all of the drama inside of me and releasing it in the form of just a few words.
"My wifi!" I cried "I've fallen and I can't get up!"
"What is this Weefee you speak of lady Meadow?" I bit my cheek to restrain myself from laughter as Loki explained wifi to Thor as one would explain carrots to a 4 year old. They are crunchy orange sticks. End of discussion.
"It is what makes the metal boxes midguardians carry around work brother." Thor's eyebrows formed a v as my body shook with silent laughter. Then I remembered something and suddenly came to my senses.
"Uhhh guys? As much as my phone having no wifi is a world ending, black hole, depression inducing, tragedy, people will die if you don't get to earth within the next...." I let my voice trail off. The movies didn't specify how long it took for Thanos to get to their ship, so I would just have to estimate. Luckily I had had a steady D- in math class my entire life, so it should be easy enough. "Hour or so?" I grimaced as it came out as more of a question than a statement.
"AN HOUR OR SO!?" I heard three voices above me exclaim. I rolled my eyes.
"Yes that's what, I said is it not?" I then heard a short grunt, which lead to a decision I knew I would deeply regret.
"You need some help with that eye Thor?" He held out a hand to me, helping me up, surprised and asked how I could possibly help. "Uhhh I sort of have healing powers." I gotta be honest, I was really freaking nervous. Taking his injury from him could leave me with permanent eye damage. I glanced around and found a small potted plant and grabbed it. Score!
"This is Flora, you are going to kill her, okay Thor?" Thor looked confused, Valkerie kept drinking and didn't give a shit, and Loki asked me a question.
"Did you just name that plant?" I gaped at him.
"Of course! You've never named a plant!? My plant back home are my babies! There is bob the builder, Sophia the First, Dora the explorer, and Victoria." I mentally face palmed as I realized none off them would get that reference. That is, until Thor started belting the lyrics to the Sophia the first theme song. I gaped at him with tears in my eyes.
"The- the man is educated." I said, wiping said tears away. I deserve a Grammy for all these dramatics. I'm the new RDJ, come at me bitches.
"Are you crying?" I blinked, suddenly remembering where I was and clasped my hands around the potted plant.
"Irrelevant. Thor? Your eye? You want help or not?" He looked at me for a moment before sighing.
"If you believe you can help me it would be greatly appreciated." I smiled then turned to Loki.
"While I do that imma need you to use the tesseract to teleport us to earth." He nodded and turned away, leaving valkerie to watch me help Thor. I placed my hand on Thor's cheek and my body spasmed as my powers rushed through it, slowly ebbing away at Thor's injury and transferring it into my face. My other hand dug into the soil of the potted plant and transferred what I could of the injury to the plant.
By the time I finished the plant was dead, Thor was as good as new, and I had one seriously painful injury. At least I could see clearly.
Because let's be honest.
I could NOT pull off the whole eyepatch-chic look.
Not my thing.
