Chapter 8

❝Anger❞

It was time for the twins to go back home. You should be back at home from work before they made it home. This made Osamu dread what was going to happen. 

"Mommy!" the twins screamed, rushing to you. 

"Oh! I missed you both so much!" you exclaimed, giving them kisses on their cheeks.

The two of them shrieked in surprise but accepted the kisses from you. The two then pulled away from you, and you greeted Osamu at the door.

"Hey, Osamu," you said with a smile on your face.

Osamu gave you a smile back, but it looked more like a grimace. 

"Hey Y/N," he replied back.

"I hope they weren't too much trouble," you said as you ruffled your kid's hair. 

"Not at all. I think I should go," Osamu said nervously. 

He did not want to be in the same room as you when you found out that the kids met Atsumu. 

"No, stay for dinner at least; that's how I can pay you back," you said with a smile on my face.

"They're my niece and nephew; it's not a job," Osamu replied again, starting to let himself out. 

That was when two little voices spoke up together,

"Please stay, uncle Osamu!" Akari and Akio said together. 

With a sigh from Osamu, Osamu had almost reluctantly walked into the home. Not knowing what his fate was going to be once he came to the house. Then, when he heard Akari speak, he knew that he was going to be in trouble. 

"Mommy, we met Atsumu Miya today!" Akari shouted. 

"What?!" you shouted.

You never expected for you to hear this from your kids, that they had unknowingly met their father. Even worse, you weren't there to do anything about it. When you looked to where Osamu was, from his face that was filled with guilt, you knew that it was true. 

"Mommy?" Akio asked with his head tilted, not understanding why his mom reacted the way that she did.

You took a couple of deep breaths, and Osamu knew that you were more upset than you were letting on. 

"Really? How was that?" you asked as you had calmed down a bit for the kids, though.

"It was amazing. Did you know that he and uncle Osamu are twins!" Akio said excitedly, and that was when Akari added on.

"Like me and Kio!" Akari said. 

The kids started talking excitedly about their day, that they played volleyball with Atsumu and that they both loved the time that they spent with the previous Inarizaki team members. 

"Kids, why don't you sit at the dinner table? Me and uncle Osamu need to have a little chat," you said as they had finished narrating their day excitedly to you. 

The two of them nodded, and they said together,

"Okay!" they both said, rushing together to where the dinner table was.

Osamu was still standing in his place, and you turned to glare at Osamu once the kids were gone. Osamu knew what was going to come, that he was going to feel your rage.

"The twins met him, Osamu!?" you whispered harshly towards where Osamu was. 

Osamu at that point furrowed his eyebrows and replied, 

"It was an accident, and the kids love him," Osamu tried to justify his actions and defend himself at the same time. 

You took a deep breath in and stated, 

"Yeah, but I'm protecting them from him, you know how he broke my heart," you said with a sigh.

"But he might change once he knows about the kids; you should've seen him. He was so happy with the twins," Osamu defended his brother.

Osamu hoped that what he said was true and that his brother would change for the better once he knows that he has children out there that need him. 

"The twins need a father in their life, but I can't be hurt by him again," you said, but you knew that over the years with Osamu asking you if the twins could meet Atusmu, that your resolve was breaking. 

"Maybe you won't, at least let the kids know that he is their father," Osamu replied.

You looked down, thinking about what was best for your kids without your personal feelings being involved.

"I'll think about it," you sighed. 

"Okay, that's all that I can ask you to do," Osamu said.

But in your mind, you had already decided on what to do.
