Chapter 23

❝Another Breakup❞

After what had happened at your place with Akaashi, and the kiss with Atsumu, you knew that you had to break up with Akaashi.

So you had decided to meet up with him at a coffee shop, a public place would be better for a breakup.

"Hey Akaashi," you said as you sat down across from Akaashi.

"Hey honey," Akaashi said back, he was wearing casual clothes with glasses on.

He leaned to give you a kiss but you moved your head and he instead kissed your cheek. You could tell that Akaashi was confused about how you were treating him. You sighed and then spoke up,

"We need to talk," you said with a sigh.

"Sure, but I think I know what this is about," Akaashi said back.

You crossed your arms and waited to hear what he said. He seemed to almost be happy about what he was thinking, did he want to break up with you?

The thought hadn't even crossed your mind, but it would make the break-up easier on you.

"You do?" you asked, were you really that obvious?

"Yeah, you want to take the next step with me," Akaashi added on with a bright smile on his face.

Your hands moved to your lap and you realized that Akaashi had no clue about what was coming at him. That you were going to leave him.

"What?" you asked, you were just about to shout it for the whole coffee shop to hear.

You calmed yourself down before you made a scene. You knew that Akaashi could have been off about what you wanted, but you didn't think that he could be this far off. He really had no clue.

"Yeah, you want me to meet your kids, you just had to say that stuff since Atsumu was there," Akaashi said with a shrug of his shoulders as he leaned back into the chair.

You shook your head and then said back,

"No, that's not it," you said back.

Now it was Akaashi's turn to be confused about why you two had decided to meet up at the coffee shop.

"Huh, then what is it?" Akaashi asked, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"I think we should break up," you said back.

You said it as quickly as you could even though you knew that this was going to hurt Akaashi's feelings.

"What?" Akaashi said he leaned forward.

"After the kid's birthday party, I just don't think that this would work out," you said back.

You tried to keep the situation as calm as you possibly could, and thankfully you knew that Akaashi would not react out loud or dramatically like other guys.

"Okay, then that's your choice then," Akaashi said after some time.

You smiled and then asked him,

"Really? And you're okay with this?" you asked.

Akaashi shrugged his shoulders and then said back,

"Well, I'm not okay with this but I respect the decision you have made," Akaashi said back.

You sighed and got up, realizing that you should leave. You stood up and so did Akaashi. You moved to leave, but before you could you turned around and hugged Akaashi.

A silent thank you from you.

"Goodbye Akaashi," you said as you left him with a kiss on his cheek.

"Bye Y/N," Akaashi said back.

That was when you had left, leaving Akaashi with a broken heart.
