Chapter 2

Avery's POV

Saturday . Worst day of the week. My dad will be drunk by the time he gets home. I laid on my bed looking at the ceiling. "Avery I got a present for you." Katie said.

"Why did you get me a present?" I asked. "Its Valentines Day !" She said. "You didn't have to get me anything." I said. I absolutely don't like Valentines day. Its stupid. Love is just some stupid word. It doesn't mean anything. Anyways she handed me the gift.

I opened it and smiled. It was a little card made out of paper she drew me and her in it. "I love it." I said.

She smiled and I kissed her forehead. "You want to go see Destiny ? Her little brother Gabe will be there." I said. Katie loves Gabe. He's her age. "Yes !!" she screamed in happiness. I smiled.

I made some cereal first. She finished eating quickly. "Hurry up Avery !!!" She screamed. I finished my cereal. and got up. "Come on." I chuckled. We walked outside and went over to Destiny's house. I was about to knock but Katie beat me to it. "COMING!!!!" One of her brothers shouted.

Her older brother Austin opened the door he is two years older then me. "Hey little sis !" He said. I've gotten so close to him that he is like an older brother type figure so are the rest of the boys but there all younger so more of a younger figure ? I don't know.

"Hey big bro." I said smiling. I've told him also about the abusing. He doesn't judge it nor has he told anyone. He got down to Katie's size and said "How ya doing kiddo ?" He asked.

"Good !" She said all cheery. He kissed her cheek and told us to come in. "Gabe's in his room and Destiny will be here soon she went with dad to go to the store. So me and you can catch up."
Austin said. I nodded. Katie smiled and went to Gabe's room.

"How are you holding up?" He asked completely serious. "I'm ok but he raped Katie ....." I said drifting off. He just nodded and patted the seat next to him. I laughed and sat next to him.

"So any boys I need to beat up ?" He asked in a fatherly tone. I chuckled. "No" I said laughing.

"Good." He said smiling as well. Soon the door opened showing Destiny and her dad with groceries. "Avery !!!" She yelled and smiled.

She put the groceries away and hugged me. "I missed you !!!!" She yelled. "Its only been one day......" I said laughing.
"One day to long !!!!" She yelled.

I rolled my eyes at her childness. She grabbed my hand and dragged me upstairs.

Katie's POV

I walked into Gabe's room. He noticed me and came up to me "Katie !!!" He yelled. "Gabe !!!" I yelled we hugged and I sat down on his bed.

"I got a present for you." He said. "really?" I said sorta surprised. "Yup." He looked threw his closet and found a heart shaped chocolate box. It was little but I was happy.I hugged him and said "Thank you !"

"No problem." He said. We sat on the bed again and talked. "How's Avery ?" He asked. "Daddy cuffed her to a table and he took my clothes off he raped me I think is what its called. I've seen him do it to Avery. I went upstairs after it I felt really icky. I heard screaming and the Avery came in crying. I don't want her hurt anymore I want my sissy back." I cried. I know he asked a simple question but I couldn't take it.

"I will protect you. Austin will protect Avery." he said. What ?

Gabe's POV

I couldn't take it anymore. Maybe I'm ten ( and yes i know Katie said this don't judge) but I'm going to do anything in my power to protect her. I left her for a second and said "I'll be back." She nodded

"AUSTIN !!!!" I yelled. He ran to the living room to where I was. "We can't let them get hurt anymore can we pwease help them ?" I asked.

"Gabe , look Avery doesn't want us to get involved your to young for this. -" I cut him off. "He RAPES THEM WHETHER SHE LIKES IT OR NOT WE SHOULD HELP THEY CAN'T LIVE LIKE THIS DO YOU NOT KNOW THE TEARS KATIE HAS SHREAD ? DO YOU NOT KNOW SHE WAS RAPED ? SHES FREAKING MY AGE AND GOING THREW THIS YOUNG OR NOT IM NOT LETTING HER GET HURT NOR SHOULD AVERY WOULD YOU RATHER HER BE ABUSED ?! RAPED BEATEN!!! IF YOU CARED THEN YOU WOULD HELP !!!!" I screamed woah..... I need to chill.

He sighed and said. "Your right but how ?" He said. "We could get Avery to let us come over occupy her enough to wait till her dad comes. Then you could protect her and I'll video what happens so we have proof and then they can live with us." I said.

"For a little fellow your pretty smart." He said I smiled and went back to Katie. She was in the corner crying. "Katie ?" I asked and ran to her. "I h-heard yelling." she said. I looked at her and brought a hand to her back rubbing it . "Shhh Katie its alright." I said trying to calm her she nodded.

Avery's POV

I walked downstairs with Destiny. I saw Austin on the couch and sat next to him. "Avery you need to take care of your dad." He said "I can't." I said.

"Do you really want this ? Your being raped Avery sexually mentally and physically abused. You need to save yourself and your sister. I'm helping whether you like it or not." He said.

I have no idea but I just started crying. Ok so this weird I sorta did like him..... But he's older so just I don't know he's been there for me and I just couldn't help the feelings I have for him. I cried and cried into his chest. He lifted me up and yelled "KATIE I'M TAKING YOU AND YOUR SISTER IN MY CAR COME ON!" He yelled.

He carried me bridal style and Katie came down the steps I was in his arms and didn't want him to let go of me. He opened the passengers seat to his car and sat me in it. He began to drive me home.

"When we get there pack your things you to Katie I'm calling the police on your dad understood ?" He asked I nodded. I wasn't going to protest.

I got out of the car shaking in fear. He walked in with me. I packed my things and so did Katie but then I heard the door open.

Crap. I looked at Austin terrified. I walked downstairs with Austin behind me. "Where do you think your taking my daughter?" My dad asked. "Away from you." He said.

He slapped me and pushed me to Austin. Making me cry. "Take them there useless anyways." He said. I cried a little more hearing him say it. Austin lifted me again and grabbed Katie and ran out the door.

"I'll get you back Avery !" He yelled I cried. I was scarred. I let it all out i couldn't take it. Soon we got home.

There was a spare room. Yeah they have a big house. He laid me on the soft bed and Katie was sleeping on the other one. "Your safe now I won't let him touch you. You hear me ?" he said. I nodded "thanks" I said.

He smiled and was about to leave when I said "please sleep with me I'm scarred." I whispered.

Austin's POV
---
"Please sleep with me I'm scarred" she said I nodded and she scooted over and i laid there. She's so beautiful I wish we could date. Maybe we will oh I don't know. I kissed her forehead and she snuggled up to my chest I smiled again looking at her small figure.
I soon drifted off into a deep sleep.

I was awakened by screaming. It was Avery having a bad dream I guessed. She opened her eyes and started crying. I held her close and rubbed her back. "Shhh its ok. He's not going to hurt you anymore. I won't let him. I promise. "

She calmed down a little and I rocked her back and forth. She soon drifted back to sleep in my arms. She's so adorable when she's asleep I thought as I fell asleep.

I woke and saw her still asleep. I smiled. "Avery Hun wake up I'm gonna make breakfast." I said. She groaned "I don't wanna get up." She said.

I chuckled and lifted her up and carried her bridal style down stairs. I saw her smile. Everyone else was asleep. So I sat her down by the island and started making breakfast. I made eggs and bacon.

I handed her a plate and got my own. "Thank you." She said. I smiled and said "your welcome." I looked at her lips. She got up and put her dish in the sink. He lips.... I wanted to kiss them so bad.

She hugged me and I hugged her back. "why are you hugging me ?" I asked. "Because you've done so much for me." she said.

"Want to watch tv ?" I asked. She shrugged and we sat down to watch tv.
