Himiko felt terrible. All Tenko wanted was to be noticed by her.. She couldn't help but feel guilty that she couldn't stop her death. That's what she was thinking to herself. It had been a long time since that killing game, but she still couldn't stop thinking about that heartbreaking moment when she saw the martial artist dead. She should've been nicer to her. Just as she started tearing up, Maki walked into Himiko's room.
"Are you alright..?" She asked awkwardly. She's dealt with sad kids at the orphanage before, but as far as she knew, that was a lie.
"I dunno." Himiko answered truthfully. She didn't know what she felt. She was relieved to not have to go through that hell anymore, but a part of her felt like she deserved to go back. She was useless in trials, she knew that. She wished she could've helped more, maybe if she helped more-
"I get how you feel, I think." Maki said, smiling sadly.
"You.. you do?" Himiko asked genuinely.
"Yeah. I'm not going to say not to worry or that it's ok, because what we went through wasn't ok at all, but just know.. I'm here for you, I guess."
"Um.. thank you..! Even though my magic may be fake, I'll try to keep those thoughts out of your head, too! And Shuichi's!" Maki giggled at that.
"Thanks." The assassin said with a smile as she kissed the mage's cheek and left.Yeah ik these are short af and probably don't make sense cuz it's 2:00 am but at least you got something!
