The light
Far in the distance
It won't be here for a while...
I stand back and look pretty
Try to plaster a fake smileThe first strands
There they sit
On my pillow
No this can't be!
The first strands sit on my pillow,
Low and detached from meMy bones, they ache
My skin, clinging to them
The pain is worsening
The vomit won't subside.
This has to be a mistake!
This lowly me
Yes,lowly me
Will surely one day dieThe light
Not so far in the distance
It's closer
My eyes ache
A voice whispers
"Relax my child"
My body begins to quake. The light is upon me
I fade in and out
I clutch my hand,
Looking for a hand
No one was about. The light was blinding
The voice
I hear it again
This time,
The voice was in my head.
