A few moments passed with no response. Harry knocked again, this time louder, and after a couple seconds swiftly opened revealing Remus Lupin's happy face looking down at them.

"Harry, Rani!" He exclaimed opening the door a little more so the two could come in.

"Hi Professor Lupin," Harry said, giving him a smile.

"What can I do for you two," Lupin asked, as Harry and Rani made their way to where Lupin's desk was located.

"Professor, c-could I speak to Sirius for a second?" Harry asked nervously as Lupin nodded and opened the door to a small closet that was connected to the DADA classroom.

After Harry, Hermione, and Rani freed Sirius Black a few months ago in their third year, the latter realized that he wasn't safe anywhere else. Luckily, with Sirius and Lupins close relationship, Lupin was able to enchant a broom closet and allowed Sirius to stay there until his name got cleared.

As Harry went into the broom closet with Sirius, Rani walked closer to where Lupin was, who was now grading papers at his desk.

Professor Lupin and Rani have had a pretty close relationship due to Rani's father and Lupin being very very close. Both her father and the kind hearted professor were very good friends during their time at Hogwarts, and naturally Rani's father had asked Lupin to keep an eye out for his daughter in her first year.

Lupin had helped her through some anxiety in Rani's first few months starting at Hogwarts, offering chocolate to the poor girl crying over her homework in the library and letting her vent about her stress in his classroom. Over the time he started to check in on her mental health, and constantly let Rani know he would always be there for her, something she was so grateful for.

Professor Lupin looked up at Rani.

"Hello Rani," Lupin said enthusiastically as she walked over closer to his desk and sat on top of a nearby table.

"Hi Professor!" Rani replied, swinging her legs on the desk.

She reached into her pockets and pulled out a huge bar of chocolate, breaking it into two pieces, and then offering it to her professor.

"Is this Hogsmeade chocolate?" Lupin asked her biting into it.

"Yes," Rani replied stuffing it in her mouth, "how could you tell?"

Lupin chuckled, "you're forgetting that I am one chocolate lover," he said, eating the rest of his piece.

"My father still has some from you," Rani said, laughing.

Lupin smiled.

"I always made fun of your father for despising chocolate," He said, "Don't know where your obsession came from, but he reckons it's from me," Lupin continued smirking.

He flipped a couple pieces of paper around and scribbled a couple of thing on his parchment, which with the number red streaks, appeared to be grades essays.

Rani looked at the broom closet door, small sounds coming from the room which sounded like worried shouts.

"What do you think they're on about," She whispered to Professor Lupin as she began to feel the tension from the room.

"I don't know," Lupin responded as he too, became suddenly interested in what was happening once noticing the change of the atmosphere.

With Sirius being Harry's godfather, Harry often went to him with all his concerns, considering of the fact that Sirius was one of the only family members Harry had left.

After Harry's name was pulled from the Goblet of fire, his life was filled with anxiousness. He got many nightmares about Voldemort after that, where he didn't get much sleep at all.

The nightmares about his parents death surrounded him daily. Rani sometimes walked in on a crying Harry in his room, something that scared her due to the lack of emotional instability Harry had shown in their four years of friendship.

Rani had never guessed that the triwizard tournament would have ever had a lasting impact on both her and Harry, but she should have realized it sooner. The events that were happening in the wizarding world, and the rumors surrounding the return of Voldemort somewhat set Harry on guard.

Although Harry was very grateful for Rani's support, he would often go see Sirius comfort—something he felt that his godfather would understand.

"Is there anything happening, with, you know... Voldemort?" Rani asked Lupin, who was still attempting to eavesdrop on Harry and Sirius.

Lupin snapped his head up, "I'm not sure," he started. "As a former friend of Peter Pettigrew I know that his return to Voldemort is for a reason.
A dangerous one at most. We think Harry has an insight," he finished and Rani looked at him, her heart beating slightly faster as her concern for her friend increased.

Lupin noticed this immediately and added, "Of course, I have complete faith that Harry and the rest of us will get through this, and fight to get rid of the trouble in the wizarding world." In an attempt to calm a slightly panicking Rani down.

Rani smiled and nodded before returning her ears to Harry and Sirius's conversation.

Lupin and Rani sat in comfortable silence as a couple of minutes went by, another clock in the classroom ticking loudly, accompanied by the crumpling of parchment and muffled voices from the corner, Lupin continuing to grade papers and Rani fiddling with her curly hair.

A couple long minutes after, Harry and Sirius returned, and a very anxious looking Harry plopped in a nearby chair, his face flushed and his arms shaking slightly as he took bigger breaths.

"I better go," Rani said to Lupin, as Sirius whispered a few words into Harry's ear before walking away.

Lupin nodded, and she head over to Harry placing a hand on his arm, and he snapped his head up to look at Rani.

"You okay?"

Harry quickly nods his head and mumbles a small 'yeah,' before standing up, pausing for a second and  grabbing Rani's hand, walking over to the door, and leaving hastily, which Rani quickly turned her head back and smiled at both Sirius and Lupin as a goodbye, before disappearing down the corridor.

Harry let go of her hand before putting them in his pockets, his pace not slowing down for the girl next to him.

"Harry," Rani rushed after him to catch up, "Harry," she repeated again before he stopped and turned towards her, his face still pink.

"What happened? Is everything alright?" Rani questioned slightly worried.

He pauses for a few moments before turning his head away.

"Yeah."

The two both stand in silence for a bit, him not saying a word, and Rani knowing better to not pry, to avoid him lashing out which usually happened when people tried to pry.

"Okay." She responded softly looking at him in the eye, which to Harry returned a small smile.

Rani and Harry began walking again, this time towards the stairs and to the great hall, where all their friends were waiting, food already in their hands as Harry took his seat.

Rani looked over at her usual spot next to him, which was in front of Fred and next to Luna, but was taken aback as it is already unusually occupied by a pale faced girl in slytherin with long blonde hair, and a flirty smile on her face.

"Hi Harry," she says glancing at him with a familiar glisten in her eyes. One that was filled with want.
