-a devilish plan

Rani arrived to her dorm and sat on her bed. The atmosphere was calm, Hermione, who was working on homework, and Ginny, who laid backward on her bed and feet up the headboard.

"Do you guys want to do something," Ginny asked the group, "I'm bored."

Hermione glanced up from her homework and back down, "like what?" she asked.

Ginny sat and thought for a bit, "I don't know."

Both Rani and Hermione were focused on their work at that point, when Ginny groaned dramatically. Rani and Hermione raised an eyebrow at eachother, looked back at Ginny, then went back to their work.

Ginny sighed dramatically once again, and Hermione put down her quill.

"Ginny?" Hermione asked, and Ginny flopped on to her stomach, and smiled at her innocently.

"Do you want to do something?" Ginny asked again.

"Hm?" Hermione asked once again and Rani looked up.

"Mione, you're always working," Ginny said, "Why are you always working?"

Hermione looked up at Ginny and smiled, "well I suppose I could take a break."

Ginny sat up straight like an excited toddler, which made Rani laugh. Hermione set her books on the other side of her table and sat on Rani's bed next to her, resting her head on her shoulder.

"What would you like to do," Hermione asked Rani and Ginny, "There's not much since it's almost curfew."

"It's also dark outside," Rani pointed out. The group sat in silence for a moment.

At that very second, the door quickly and loudly opened, and a pair of tall gingers ran in, slamming the door hastily and then jumping on Rani and Ginny's bed, almost causing Rani to fall of.

"Woah woah don't fall off," Fred said to Rani grabbing her arm and pulling her back on to the bed, "I know i'm attractive, but couldn't have you falling for me," He gave Rani a cheeky grin to which she playfully hit him on the chest.

"Why are you two gits here," Ginny said to her older brothers, who were now wrapping themselves in the fluffy blankets on the girls' beds.

"We need your help," George said,  eyeing the three girls.

Rani and Hermione looked at eachother.

"We want to pull a prank on Snape," Fred said, "and Rani, Snape doesn't despise you."

"What's that got to do with this?" Rani asked, furrowing her eyebrows at Fred and George.

"It means, you can't get in trouble. So you're coming with us and helping with this prank." George said, grinning at her.

Rani sighed. She didn't need a howler from her father for pulling pranks on a professor again, due to last time she pulled a prank on Professor Quirell in her first year along with Harry, Ron, and the twins and got caught. Although the professor turned out to be connected to Voldemort, she still received a lecture from her parents and got grounded when she came home that summer.

"Harry and Lee are helping too," Fred adding, glancing smugly at Rani.

Rani looked up at the mention of Harry, and locked eyes with Ginny and George, who raised their eyebrows. Although she had never come out and said it, both Ginny and the twins knew that she had somewhat fancied Harry for years. Rani didn't know this, and so they'd often tease Rani about it subtly, frequently leaving her confused.

Rani thought about it, and nonchalantly nodded her head, "okay. I'm in."

"Alright then," Fred said happily, high-fiving George.

"Hermione," George said, and she looked up.

"What?" she said amused, and Fred gave her a sly grin. Before he could open his mouth Hermione raised her hand.

"If you're going to ask me to help with this prank, no thank you," she said raising her eyebrows.

"C'mon Mione," Ginny said, slouching against her, "it'll be so much fun."

Hermione looked hesitant. Fred, George, Rani, and Ginny looked at her impatiently.

"Alright, fine," She said cautiously and the group burst into smiles. "But the second something bad happens i'm leaving—"

"Right on then, tally ho!" Rani said, cutting her off as she grabbed Hermione's arm and dragged her out the door behind the rest of the group, barely closing it behind them.
