The girls name was June Grimblevan. She was Draco Malfoy's cousin. Rani didn't know her well, if she were to be honest, but she knew how much Harry had liked her since the beginning of this year.
She is beautiful.
June had bright green eyes, and a beautiful smile. She had sleek and straight beautiful blonde hair and a charming persona.
Although Rani didn't know her well she couldn't help but feel threatened by her. June was a woman of beauty and with Harry's interest in her she tried her best to avoid her altogether.
Nights would pass by where Harry would talk about June in the common room with the rest of the friend group. Rani would often reasonably get jealous and leave; the latter not noticing.
She looked at her taken seat next to Harry. The whole area was taken. The group watching her, she paused and then walked around the table to where Ginny and Luna were sitting, a little farther away from where she used to sit.
"Hello Rani," Luna said to her as she took a seat. Rani smiled at her in return.
"Did June take your seat?" Ginny questioned, looking over at the table where Harry and June were engaged in a light conversation.
Rani nodded.
"She's a nightmare," Ginny started, rolling her eyes, "I have Herbology with her and Neville. Always asking stupid ass questions and won't shut up about Harry."
Rani laughed.
"She's okay," Rani said, "kind of wish Harry would stop obsessing over her," Rani sighed, looking over at the pair, Harry with a giddy smile on his face, and June, brushing his hair out of his eyes.
Luna noticed her watching from across the table.
"Do you like Harry?" Luna questioned Rani, and she immediately shook her head.
"No no, we're just friends," Rani chuckled, going back to her food.
She looked at Ginny, who returned with a skeptical glance. Of course Rani liked Harry, as much as she tried to hide it. Ginny on the other hand, didn't completely believe Rani's lies.
The two made eye contact, and Harry gave Rani a wide grin, something that gave her butterflies.
"I don't think they're right for each other," Luna spoke up in her soft voice, gazing at June and Harry."
Rani nodded again, "as beautiful as she is, she's very off putting."
Ginny snorted, her mouth full of food, "she's Malfoy's cousin, of course she's 'off putting.' She's a complete bitch," she started, "called Mum and George 'dungbrained gits' when we saw them at Diagon Alley,"
Rani frowned.
"Didn't know that at all," she replied, glancing at the blonde haired girl once again. Ginny nodded.
"Took every ounce of control in my body to not hex her right then and there," Ginny said again, "Next time she messes with one of us, I won't hesitate to give her one of the hexed chocolates Fred and George have," she added, then smiled.
Rani and Luna looked at eachother, and back at Ginny who grinned at them innocently. Rani smiled to herself and began her meal.

The trio sat in silence finishing their food. When dinner was over, they rose from their seats along with the other Gryffindors and left for the stairs.
"Did you see that?" Harry appearing next to Rani with an excited look on his face. Rani looked up at him with a small smile on her face.
"June," he started, "she was so interested in talking to me today," he said giggling.
Rani couldn't help but smile, at Harry, "I'm happy for you Harry," she said as they got to the top of the stairs in front of the fat lady portrait.
"Corpsecamora," a 5th year said from behind them and the portrait opened, the rest of the Gryffindors piling in behind Harry and Rani.
Rani picked up her bag next to the armchair in front of the fireplace, then weaved her way through the students to get to the stairs. Suddenly a familiar pair of hands grabbed her arm, and she turned, to see Harry stopping her.
"Hey," he began. Rani's arm tingled where he touched her. She turned around completely to face Harry.
"Are we alright?" He asked softly. Rani looked up at him amused.
"Of course, why?"
He stood hesitantly for a few seconds trying to compose his thoughts as the other students went up the stairs to their dorms.
"I just— June was in your seat today, and you were sort of quiet on the way back," He asked, awkwardly.
Rani laughed, "Harry it's not a big deal, June can sit wherever she wants," she smiled softly, "and for the record i'm very happy for the both of you."
She kept smiling to try and avoid the lies that shined through her eyes. Luckily, Harry didn't seem to notice.
"Alright then," Harry replied, giving her a small smile, and turning away to leave.
Rani paused for a moment. With everyone else in their dorms except for Fred and George in the common room, she wanted to stay with Harry- just for a bit.
"Harry," Rani called out, and he turned to face her, "i'm gonna stay down here for a bit," she said.
Harry smiled and brought her to a smaller secluded area of the common room, afar from where the twins were sitting.
They sat on a small two person couch and looked through the window, to see the orange and pink sunset and darkness filling the sky.
They stayed in a comfortable silence for a while both wrapped up in their own thoughts. As the night before, their friends stayed up until five in the morning, Rani's eyes began getting droopy.
She instinctively rested her head on Harry's shoulder closing her eyes for a minute. Harry rested his on top of hers and the two closed their eyes.
"How was your day?" Harry asked softly.
"Good," Rani replied, her eyes still shut. She noticed the difference in Harry's breathing, which got quicker.
"Harry?" Rani asked, sitting up straight. Harry lifted his head and looked her in the eye.
"What happened in Professor Lupin's class?" she began, as Harry looked down, "Is everything alright?"
Harry stayed in silence for a moment.
"The nightmares came back," he said, "they're getting worse,"
Rani's watched him intently as he scratched the back of his head.
"My scars been hurting as well," he sighed, "I think he's coming back."
Rani's heart dropped, she sat without saying a word, processing everything Harry was saying. He put his head in his arms trying breathe regularly.
"Hey," Rani said softly moving closer to him, as he looked up at her, his face turning pink, "it's going to be okay. We'll handle this and everything will end up fine," she added gently as she tried to comfort the anxious boy.
"Are you sure?" He asked, his voice shaky.
"Yes." Rani replied shortly, and pulled Harry into a hug.
Harry wrapped his arms around Rani's waist and rested his head on her shoulder. Rani slowly rubbed his back, and the two stayed in that platonic embrace for a minute.
They pulled apart and Harry gave her a smile as they stood up.
"Thank you, Rani," he said, before giving her another side hug.
"Anytime," Rani replied, as the two went off to their dorms.
