Langa and Reki One Shots

Dreams Part 2

I shot up out of bed. My breaths labored. I brought my hands up to my chest and felt my heart rapidly beat.

"Hey man. It's okay. You're okay." I felt a hand gently land on my shoulder.

That voice. I know that voice. I looked up to see  a pair of hazel eyes looking at me in concern.

They're not dull. They still have life in them.

I sighed in relief, my hands still held against my heart.

It wasn't beating as fast anymore.

"Only a dream." I whispered to myself.

Reki chuckled. "Must of been one heck of a dream. You were basically screaming you know? I thought someone had came in here and tried to murder you. I had a bat" he said as he nugged his head toward the metal bat lying lifeless on the floor, "I was so ready to wack someone."

I looked back over at him and saw as his small smile turned down into a frown.

"Hey man you alright? You actually look like you've just seen a ghost or something. Was it a nightmare?"

"I-it was nothing."

"Mmm sureeee. Wanna talk about? That can help you know."

"No." I bluntly stated back.

He moved his hand from my shoulder and moved to the end of his bed that he let me borrow for the night sitting criss cross apple sauce.

He stared at me and pouted.

"Tell me."

" No"

"Tell me."

"No."

"Tell me!"

I decided to just not answer and slid back under the covers of the bed.

Reki huffed in annoyance and got off the bed.

"Fine, be that way you butt."

He made his way out of the room and panic seized my heart.

No. He can't leave.

"Wait!"

Reki froze and turned back around a questioning look on his face.

I sat up and looked him dead in the eyes.

"Can you sleep with me?"

Rekis eyes widened in surprise.

"What? Langa not be mean but that's pretty freaking random."

I looked up at him hoping he wouldn't ask any questions. He looked at me in concern and walked back over to the bed.

He analyzed me for a bit before sighing in defeat.

"Move over."

A smile tugged at my lips and I moved closer to the wall giving him room to squeeze in.

Within seconds we were under the warm covers.

I looked over at Reki who was facing away from me.

I couldn't see his eyes.

The image of dead lifeless eyes flashed though my mind and I quickly grabbed Rekis shoulder turning him over earning a yelp of surprise from the other.

"Langa! What the hell..."

He stopped mid sentence as I placed my hand on his face. He was warm and his eyes were filled with life. Good.

I closed my eyes and moved my hand from Rekis cheek to his hand and squeezed it reassureing myself that he was here and alive

He must think I'm crazy but I don't care. I need to make sure he's alive and that it stays that way. I can't lose someone else that I care about.
Not again.

There was silence for a while before I felt warm arms wrap around me.

"I don't know what you dreamed about but I'm always here for you alright Langa? I'm not leaving any time soon."

I smiled at his words and for the first time in a while slept peacefully.
