After what felt like hours of non-stop running, Hermione and I arrived at King's Cross Station, panting and heaving for air.

"We have two minutes, Y/n" gasped Hermione after checking her watch again.

We sped through the entrance wall to Platform 9  3/4 and spotted instantly four of the youngest Weasleys. They were relatively easy to identify the Weasleys, bright red hair standing out in every crowd, and wherever Ron is, Harry is. And as always, there he was, standing not far from his best friend and a large black dog who I had become very close to over the summer, talking to Mrs Weasley, who had a rather concerned look on her face.

As me and Hermione speed walked over to our friends, Mrs Weasley turned to look at us and the concerned look slid off her face and was replaced by a relieved one. Dodging anxious witches and wizards, she ran towards us and scooped us both up into a great bear hug.

Once we had been ushered onto the Hogwarts Express, Mrs Weasley gave a small wave and the train started moving.

Finding a compartment wasn't easy, as everyone had gotten on the train before us and reserved them for themselves. Me, Hermione, Harry and all four Weasleys continued to walk down the train, poking our heads into compartments as we went. Not far down the train, Fred and George found their friend, Lee Jordan, and split away from us.

As we were nearing the end of the train, with no success at finding a compartment that was free, we passed one containing a group of Slytherins. Draco Malfoy was sitting in the far left hand corner near the window, small droplets of water forming and sliding down the glass. Pug faced Pansy Parkinson was sitting next to him, laughing at every little thing he said, and his bodyguard-like friends, Crabbe and Goyle, sat opposite. Trying hard not to be spotted, we tip-toed past the compartment and held our breath in case they heard us.

Unfortunately, our attempt to go unnoticed failed, and we heard Malfoy raise his voice a little in order for us to hear his insults clearly.

"Oh look" he snarled as we walked past "Mudbloods and the poor. Complete disgraces to the wizard name"

Not letting what Malfoy said get to me, I didn't stop walking until we reached the end of the train. I poked my head in to see if this last compartment was free and, luckily enough, our good friend, Neville Longbottom, was sitting alone holding a rather funny looking plant.

Around five minutes later, a girl with straggly dirty-blonde hair and a dazed look on her face knocked on our compartment door four times in quite a rhythmic sense. Before receiving permission to enter, she walked in and sat down opposite Neville, looked around at all of us, took out a newspaper, and started reading it upside down.

"Everyone this is Loony-" Hermione's eyes widened when she said this, and she gave the rest of the group a glance that made me think she was scared for her life.

"Luna Lovegood" she proclaimed after wiping the worried look off her face and replacing it with one I couldn't really understand. However, I understood why she was embarrassed. This girl did look rather insane, yet mesmerizingly calm and unbothered.

As the sky started to darken and the temperature began to drop, I looked up at Harry to see him with an expression on his face that was not far from Hermione's a few hours ago.

"You ok, Y/n" he muttered to me when he noticed me looking at him.

"I'm fine, why wouldn't I be?" I asked, quite confused.

"What Malfoy said... he really needs to get a grip" Harry said sympathetically, now raising his voice a little bit.

"Trust me it doesn't bother me much anymore. I can't say the same for Hermione though"

"You sure you're ok?"

"Completely. Don't worry about me"

And with that he gave me a small compassionate nod and turned to Hermione to make sure she was alright. I turned my head towards the window and stared out of it for the rest of the journey.
