Part 4

The next morning I was up and raring to go, excited for my life to finally get back to normal, to have some sort of schedule again. Although, I knew from past years that the excitement I feel on the first day back at school only lasts for a few hours, and fades after one or two bad classes.

Luckily for me, Harry, Ron and I had Care of Magical Creatures during our first day. Hagrid's lessons were usually quite chaotic and dangerous, which is why everyone dreaded them, but I knew that seeing Hagrid and knowing that he's ok would make the rest of the day more bearable.

However, when we arrived at Hagrid's hut, he wasn't anywhere to be seen. Instead, standing were he usually stood was Professor Grubbly-Plank, who had taught this same class last year when Rita Skeeter had written about him and 'his kind' in the Daily Prophet.

I turned to Harry and Ron, who had clearly also noticed Hagrid missing.

"Where do you think Hagrid is?" I said while the rest of the class either gathered around or was strolling through the courtyard, clearly with not a care in the world.

"Maybe" said Malfoy, murmuring so that only me, Ron and Harry could hear him, "the stupid great oaf's got himself badly injured. Maybe he's been messing with stuff that's too big  for him, if you get my drift."

--------------------

Let me tell you some details about Draco Malfoy.

He's arrogant, as arrogant as they come. His entire family is pure-blood, which makes him believe that there is nobody better than him, which is clearly untrue.

He's a coward, just like his father. He wouldn't dare say half the things he blurts around someone that could do something about it.

He's extremely wealthy. Well, obviously not Draco himself, but his family.

He has the biggest god complex. It's worse than anyone I've ever met, and I've met many arrogant snotbags in my life.

When he dislikes you, he will set his mind on making your life living hell.

And lastly, Draco is the kind of bully that puts on this whole show of being cool and confident and collected, however, sometimes I can tell that he's insecure. For example, when he uses his fathers social status to gain praise and too look like the best.

I, personally, have had the displeasure of meeting Lucius Malfoy. It was around three years ago, I was with the Weasleys, Harry and Hermione in Flourish and Blotts. We were purchasing our school books a few weeks before school actually started. Lucius approached us as we were all leaving, cornering us, giving us no choice but to listen to what he had to say.

Lucius Malfoy is vile and pathetic, far worse than Draco. He is abusive, cold, calculating. All traits you wouldn't want a father to harbour. He gives Draco half of the respect he deserves. Even I know that Draco deserves better than what he receives.

Sometimes... I almost feel sorry for him.

Sometimes.
