Once Din and Grogu were familiar with the ship, and where everything was, they got settled in, and since there wasn't another room available, they stayed in a large closet, basically, that now functioned as a room for the two of them. Din and Sabine were still tense, but neither made any moves on the other, both agreeing that it was not worth the trouble that it would cause. Once that was settled, Kanan brought up the idea of training Grogu.
"I know that you two are very close, and I think that that fact will help with the training, if, of course, you are willing to help, Din?'
Din nodded. "Of course."
Kanan smiled. "Great! Well, once we get back to Lothal, we can start. How's that sound, kid?" He asked, crouching down, talking to Grogu, who cooed happily, and Din and Kanan chuckled. "I guess that's a yes!" Kanan said, straightening up.
"I suppose so." Din agreed. Grogu just cooed again.
Meanwhile, Hera and Sabine were talking in the cockpit.
"You two need to put this, whatever it is that is between you, you need to put it behind you. I understand that you have, I am just letting you know that it actually has to happen, alright?" Hera asked, her tone firm.
"Yeah, and we have put it behind us. It won't happen again, I promise." Sabine said, getting a little defencive.
"Good. Glad we are on the same page." An alarm started beeping, and Hera sighed. "What have those boys done this time?" She sighed, and got up to investigate.
Five minutes earlier...
"EZRA!You get out here right now, or I will rip this door down and get you myself!" Zeb was quite mad, and it only got worse when Ezra calmly opened the door, and leaned against the wall.
"Got a problem, big fella?" He said, smirking.
Zeb growled and charged, and Ezra panicked, running away, Zeb close on his heels. He wasn't watching where he was going, and tripped right over Chopper, and then Zeb fell on them both. Ezra started hitting Chopper, who zapped Ezra and Zeb, and they fell off, and the little droid rolled away, laughing.
Ezra and Zeb shared a quick glance, then they ran after Chopper, who started whistling loudly, in a way that could only be described as screaming.
"Get back here, you bucket of bolts!" They chased him around the ship, until they literally ran into Kanan and Din. Din had his blaster aimed at them in a flash, and was holding Grogu on the other side of him, protecting him..
"Hey get off me, you big-" Ezra saw Din, "Sorry, sorry, uh, we, uh, we were just, uh,"
"Chasing that rust bucket who zapped us. And uh, we, um, Kanan?"
Kanan looked over at din,who was already putting his blaster away. Kanan looked back at the two, still on the floor, and Chopper, who was watching nearby. "What do you say?" He asked, sighing.
"Sorry!"
"Sorry."
"Woo-who."
"Good. Now, go play somewhere else."
They were up on their feet, and hadn't even noticed that they had landed on the button that opened the cargo door to the vaccume of space. Neither did the men, until Hera and Sabine came hurrying over.
"What happened?" Hera said, looking around, the she spotted the doors, wide open, and nothing left in the cargo bay that wasn't tied down. She quickly pushed the button, closing to doors. and sighed. "Where did they go?" She asked, and Kanan gestured in the direction they had run off to. "I am going to," She didn't finish the sentence as she hurried after them. Sabine stayed with Kanan and Din, who was still holding Grogu.
"I think this is a moment that needs to be comemerated." Sabine said, then she stood there for a moment, pictureing the whole scene. "Yes, yes, that works great." She nodded, memorizing just how it should look. She nodded again, then ran off, gathering her paints.
"What was that?" Din asked, confused about her behavior.
"Oh, don't worry about it, she does that. She gets inspiration, and then she just has to paint it. And what happened with you?" Kanan asked, sounding a little concerned.
Din just shrugged, and readjusted Grogu's position. "I guess I over reacted, I am not used to people running into me being something that is not dangerous. I will try to work on that, don't want to keep scaring them." He gave a small laugh, and Kanan laughed too.
"I mean, it won't be something that they will forget, so maybe it will teach them to be a little more careful?" He laughed again. "Yeah, that's never going to happen. Come on, we don't want to be here when Sabine gets back. She likes to be alone when she paints." And so they left, all three of them were happier now than they were when the whole conversation started.
A/N: Hey guys, sorry it's been a while, I have gotten caught up in some other stuff, and I kinda forgot about this, but then I remembered, and I came back, not sure what would happen in this chapter, but it worked itself out, I guess... Anyway, I hope that you guys enjoy this, I hope that it isn't confusing, because I kinda just wrote it in the spur of the moment, like, the last half hour, or something, and I apologize for spelling errors, I haven't looked through this yet, but I have been feeling kinda bad that it has been so long since I last did anything for this, so I felt that I should get something out there, right? And if you have any prompts or comments or ideas or anything, please let me know! I like this idea, of these two space families joining up, but I don't really know what to do? I also don't know if I want this to be plot based or something with less of a plot, probably less plot, more hanging out, or something, I really don't know... Anyway, I hope that you enjoy this!
