The next morning Louis woke up early and took a shower. His arms still stung and his thighs were killing him but he didn't think about that. The only thing on his mind was Harry. As Louis changed into some clean clothes he thought about what he and Harry should do. He didn't exactly have a plan but there would have to be some sort of thought put into it. Louis didn't want to make it seem like he didn't care, because he did, he truly, madly, deeply cared about Harry.
Louis got to the bookshop ten minutes before he told Harry to be there which meant it was nine-fifty. Louis sat outside the shop and nervously picked his fingers. He heard boots crunching on the icy sidewalk and brought his blue eyes to the green ones in front of him. "Harry," Louis sighed "It's so good to see you." Louis stood up and embraced Harry. "It's good to see you too Lou." Harry mumbled into Louis' neck. They let go of eachother and Louis noticed Harry's cheeks seemed to be a bit pink but maybe it was the cloudy skies casting shadows. "So Harold, I was thinking we could go to the park, but before we do that we should get some food," Louis said. Harry would have done anything if it was with Louis but this sounded like fun "And then I figured we could go into some shops in the afternoon? I hope that sounds good." Louis said. "That sounds awesome! I'm really excited for it!" Harry said truthfully, knowing that it would be a good day.
They walked down the street until they reached the park which just so happened to have a cafe right across the road. "Right Hazza, what would you like? It's my treat?" Louis said nudging the boy beside him ever so gently so he was looking at the pastries instead of Louis. "I can buy mine Lou, don't worry." Harry said, pulling out his last five pounds from his wallet. "No, I insist, besides it was my plan." Louis said. Harry gave in and stared at the sweets behind the glass."Lou can I have a cinnamon roll and a latte?" Harry asked shyly, he didn't want to ask too much of Louis. "Of course! I think I'm gonna get a croissant and a tea, sounds good." Louis said, he told the man behind the counter what they wanted and paid. "Thank you Louis," Harry said as they walked out of the shop into the park and sat on a bench. Louis who had just taken a big bite out of Harry's cinnamon roll started laughing which resulted in a coughing fit. "Louis! How dare you! That's what you get for stealing my food, besides I guess it was too big for you huh?" Harry challenged. "HARRY STYLES! That's a dirty joke!" Louis laughed while trying to wrestle his croissant out of Harry's hands. Harry won by taking a huge bit out of the side of Louis' croissant. "Payback." Harry said smugly while chewing the croissant. Louis pouted and took a sip of Harry's latte.
Harry saw what Louis had just done and tried to reach the tea that was on the other side of Louis. Louis started to tickle the boy but not before Harry fell off the bench taking Louis down with him. Louis was now lying on top of Harry who was blushy quite profoundly. They stared at each other. Their lips were so close. Too close... Louis cleared his throat and got up, brushing at his pants. He stuck out a hand to help Harry up. "Sorry about that love, I guess I am too big for you to handle." Louis said casually before sitting back down on the bench. "LOUIS! Now who's making the dirty jokes. And besides you're small." Harry laughed as Louis pretended to make an offended face. "I am not small, thank you very much. I'm big." Louis stated. "Again!" Harry laughed at the joke "And you are so tiny Lou. So tiny." Harry said while Louis sat there pretending that his feelings were hurt.
They sat there for a while chatting about anything and everything before deciding to walk around the park. Harry threw away there now empty coffee cups and wrappers in a nearby trash can before setting off around the park. It was almost the end of January so the weather was quite dreary and cold. Louis wished he had worn something warmer than a long sleeved t-shirt and skinny jeans, but he didn't think that it would be this cold. His teeth were chattering and knocking together as they walked around the park. "Lou, are you cold?" Harry questioned. "No, It's fine." Louis lied. He didn't want any trouble. Harry pulled off his jumper revealing another sweater. "Here." Harry said without hesitation. He was prepared for it to be cold so he dressed extra warm. "Are you sure?" Louis asked. Harry nodded before Louis took Harry's warm jumper and slipped in on over his small frame. "I guess you were prepared. Thank you." Louis snuggled into the oversized jumper before he saw that Harry was looking at him. "See, it's big on you because you're so small." Harry joked before Louis punched him lightly in the shoulder. "No, it looks good on you. You look so cute and small in it." Harry said a little kinder this time.
Louis never blushed, that's what he always said, but there was no reasoning behind his cheeks turning pink, except for the fact that it was cold outside. "Thanks." he mumbled. It was just the cold right? And it was the cold that made the blood rush to Harry's face as Louis gently grabbed Harry's hand.
