After Niall heard all of the details about Louis he knew that he just had to get them together. No doubt about it they were meant to be. Soulmates was the word he used. Harry just laughed it off even though he hoped it was true. Once it was way too late for them to still be awake they went to bed. Harry knew it was going to hit him the next day and he was right about it.

The minute his alarm went off he knew today was going to be rough. It's better than being back where Harry was though. And he knows it. The floorboards creaked as Harry trudged to his closet to find something to wear. He didn't have many clothes because he threw everything away from his past but Niall helped him get some new ones and his sister, Gemma had sent some to him as well. He decided on black jeans and a simple whie T-shirt. He took extra care to his hair today, hoping he would see Louis. He rushed out the door dropping off his package to Gemma on the way to the bakery.

The day had been pretty uneventful, he had seen a child spill hot chocolate all over their shoes but that was about it. It was just about time to leave when he heard the bell ring. Harry looked at his watch and it read ten minutes to five. He hoped this would be the last customer. "Hi, I'm here to take you up on your offer." a voice said, Harry's eyes brightened. "Louis! You came!" He hoped he didn't scare the man away, he was just happy to see him. "Of course I did Curly, I closed the bookshop early to come here. So what do you recommend?" Louis responded, the butterflies in his stomach going crazy when he saw Harry looking very closely at the selection of pastries in the glass display. "Well I've always liked the chocolate chip cookies, it reminds me of when my sister used to make them with me..." His eyes get all misty before Louis leans up to tilt his head so their eyes were locked. "I'm sorry Harry, didn't mean to make you sad. Give me one of the chocolate chip cookies and I'll split it with you. Wasn't that who you got the book for?" Louis said hoping he wouldn't upset the boy even more. Harry nodded before getting a chocolate chip cookie out of the display and leading Louis to his favorite table in the corner.

They both sat down and Harry pushed the cookie towards Louis. Harry smiled at the contact as Louis' hand brushed against his. "So Hazza, how was your day?" Louis asked, wanting to make the boy feel better. Harry proceeded to tell Louis about the hot chocolate incident and Louis' laugh rang out through the empty shop. Harry's cheeks turned a bright crimson when Louis caught him staring while Louis was telling a story of how someone wouldn't stop talking on the phone in the shop. They kept exchanging stories and talking until Louis was cut off by a voice.

"Louis! I haven't seen you here in ages! Harry I was just about to tell you that it's time to go and look who's here!" Barbra pulled Louis into a side hug as Louis was still sitting at the table. "Barbra! I've missed you!" Louis responded as the old lady let go of him. They talked for a bit as all of them shuffled out of the store into the cold of January. The woman locked the door behind them and they all said their goodbyes. She walked briskly down the road as Louis and Harry stood there awkwardly. "So I never asked, where do you live?" Louis said curiously. "Just down the road," Harry replied "But our building's pretty bad." Louis nodded "I do too!" he shouted out of excitement. He was glad they lived close. They walked down the road until it was time to part ways. Louis pulled him into a tight hug as everything Harry wrapped around him. "Bye Lou!" Harry said. "Bye Haz! I hope I'll see you again soon!" and he really meant it.

Louis walked home hoping that Harry would stop by the shop soon. He had already told Zayn and Liam about him after they got back from grocery shopping and woken Louis up. They agreed that it seemed obvious that they were meant to be. Louis unlocked the flat and slumped onto the couch. He knew better than to want something more than friendship with Harry because every time that would happen, they would leave.

Later that night Louis was in his bathroom. After he had eaten dinner with his friends he wanted an early night. But for one reason only. This. He pulled out a razor blaze that glinted in the harsh bathroom light and took a breath. You're better than this. He tried thinking to himself. But as he looked into the mirror his eyes started to water. He deserved this. He knew he did. I deserve this. He pulled up his sleeve to reveal scars on top of scars. Some were old, some were new. Some were deep others were not. He took another breath as he pulled the cool metal over his wrist. He hissed as he made another and another. Once he was finally satisfied his arm was stained red. He grabbed some toilet paper and ran his arm under the cool water. It burned as the water in the sink turned red. He wrapped his arm up in the toilet paper and pulled down his sleeve. It stung but Louis didn't care. He deserved this.
