I looked around me making sure no one was watching, before turning into Knockturn alley. I watched as wanna-be dark wizards entered and exited shops in the dimly lit alley. I pulled my hood over my head and took out my wand, it's a 14 inch black cherry wand with a thestral hair core, in-flexible and good for potions. I stopped in front of a closed shop and waved my wand unlocking it.

I walked in and changed the sign to open and walked to the back of my shop. You've probably never heard of me, my name's Glass Delton, a pure-blood from a long forgotten line, in England at least. We disappeared years ago leaving the country to get away. Most of my family are dark wizards, myself included. A good number of us are parselmouths due to being loosely related to Salazar Slytherin, again myself included. I made the dumb decision to comeback to England to go to Hogwarts for my 5th, 6th and 7th year.

I suppose looking back at it, it wasn't the dumbest thing I'd ever done, I mean sure going to England where dark magic is looked upon as evil is quite dumb. But, I was an ambitious teenager who wanted to learn more and see more. I've never once regretted that decision. It is after all how I met my best friend, Tom Marvolo Riddle.

Arriving at Hogwarts as a transfer student already made lots of people suspicious, being sorted into Slytherin made them all think I was evil, they weren't wrong. Tom and I clicked almost instantly both enjoying the dark arts and the secrets it held. The Chamber of Secrets was our little hideout. It's where we made a promise to each other, the day we swore we'd be friends forever, the day we created the dark mark to showcase our friendship.

I still have it on my forearm, I'm not a Death Eater, never was, officially that is, I'm just the Dark Lord's friend and he just so happened to use the mark to mark his followers. I don't really mind, Tom has turned into something to be feared only showing his true self when we're alone. We don't want anyone to know about our relationship so whenever he comes with one of his followers I don't address him as Tom.

I had just finished putting new books on the shelves when people started streaming in. My shop is quite popular with dark wizards, or wizards who want to learn the dark arts. I enjoy creating spells, potions, runes and writing books about my discoveries. Since lots of the things in my shop were created by yours truly it's unregistered magic making it untraceable and useful when trying to surprise an enemy. "Mr. Delton sir?" I turned around to come face to face with one Draco Malfoy, "Yes?"

"My father wanted to invite you to our before Christmas Eve party at Malfoy manor." He said, handing me a letter. "Aren't you going to be at the Yule ball held at Hogwarts this year?" I asked.

"Yes, but I was in need of some things from Diagon Alley, mainly gifts. I'm spending the weekend at Malfoy Manor."

"I see, that makes sense I suppose. Thank you Draco, and how many times must I tell you to call me Glass?"

"Sorry, I'm just used to it, it's what I called you when we first met."

"Yes, yes, Mr. Delton just makes me feel old is all."

"Mr. Delton!" I sighed, turning to the front desk, "I'll see you later Draco." I said turning to leave. I stepped behind the desk looking at the stack of books and potions infront of me. "Will this be all?" I asked, "Yes, thank you." I looked at the books, one on wandless magic, another on wordless, one on spell creation and one on the languages of mystical beings. I glanced at the potions, one invisibility potion, and one Felix Felicis or liquid luck, I did say most things were originally created by yours truly not all.
