I was sitting on a chair behind the front desk in my shop, looking at Tom's notes on an interesting subject. Immortality. The closest thing Tom has found to immortality so far is horcruxes. Dumb if you ask me, splitting your soul so you can't die? Heh, the Philosopher's stone would have been better, Dumbledore and Flamel just had to destroy it didn't they?

Tom gave me his notes to find a better way to achieve something similar to immortality. The closest thing I've ever created was a potion that doubles your lifespan and keeps you looking like a 20 year old. Tom and I both drank it which is why we look like young adults not like 60 something year olds.

Tom always wants more than what's possible. Alchemy isn't my strong suit but if I could get my hands on Flamels notes I could attempt to make a new stone, assuming he didn't destroy his notes. He probably did. Well then, no new stone for us.

Immortality, living forever, it seems like it could be fun for a while. Then again maybe not. I feel once you've discovered all the wonders this world holds you'd want to die.

I was brought out of my thoughts by loud knocking on the shop's window. Is it that late already? I took out my wand and cast a quick Tempus spell to check the time, 9:17, well I'll be damned. I was supposed to open the shop 17 minutes ago. I waved my wand and unlocked the door. Getting out of my rather comfortable chair I put away the notes in a safe place and changed the 'closed' sign to 'open'.

The man whom had been banging so loudly on my window a minute ago came up to me. "Severus Snape," I started, "what can I do for you?"

"I wanted to know if you have any modified plants."

"I do, they aren't cheap though. Creating a new plant by merging old ones together and genetically modifying them is not easy."

"I'm aware, money isn't an issue currently. I need something that can easily cure the bite of a highly venomous baby dragon."

"Something happen?"

"Can't say, official business."

"Ok then, which dragon?"

"Some breeders crossbred so I don't know, we haven't been able to figure it out."

"I see, I've got something that may just work." I said, I walked towards the back of the shop and grabbed a Nox Ilventis, it's a black flower that is a mix of multiple healing flowers. It works for most strong poisons. I walked back out to the front of the shop handing the flower to Snape.

"I'm afraid this is all I can give you, don't have that many left you see, but if you brew it correctly- which I'm sure you will seeing as you're a potions master- it will suffice. To successfully use it you must brew the healing potion that has worked the best in fighting the venom, add the whole flower in last then stir the potion counter-clockwise three times. It's called a Nox Ilventis when consumed on it's own it's highly deadly, so don't."

"Fascinating. What's it a combination of?" He asked.

"Can't tell you, trade secret." I said, unsuccessfully hiding my smirk.

"Fine, how much do I owe you?" He asked, annoyed.

"23 Galleons. Don't complain about the price you said it doesn't matter."

"Fine then." He handed me the money and swiftly left the shop. Surprisingly enough he was the only one here. What is it the day before school starts again and everyone is rushing around getting last minute things and replacements in Diagon? I checked the date, huh, it is the last day of break, how odd. I could've sworn I had a few more days before I needed to leave. Tom and I have a plan. I just don't know when he wants it done so I want to ask him. Why he asked me to do it, I'll never know.
