The scope was a bit dirty, but it would have to do. Being out in the desert, with high security enemy firebases in the area, I was lucky to even find the sniper rifle. What was even better was the fact that there was a stack of ammunition stacked away underneath the floorboards of the building. The building was in an old town. It had been deserted due to the war. Why that rifle was still there was a mystery however. But that didn't matter. Wether it worked or not did however. Of course we had the ammo to check if it worked but it would risk us getting caught. And then we would never see the light of day again.
