"Alison dear? You have a date with that young fellow, William tomorrow noon. I'm sure this arranged meeting will go better than the rest. He's very nice, smart not to mention the gentleman he is and he comes from a very prestigious family."
I rolled my eyes before turning around to face my mom, as gracefully as I could. "Yes, mother. I think so too. May I be excused now? It's getting late."
I then started walking to my room, mumbling about how much I don't want to go on this date under my breath. I know she means well but sometimes it's just too much. She even moved us from America to Australia because there was a shooting in the other side of our state.
These arranged dates are the worst. She makes me go out with the most boring people on the planet but their families are so damn rich, it doesn't matter what they are like. I can't deny the fact that all those guys are very nice people, though.
I reached my room, buried my face in my pillow and had a sudden urge to scream as loud as I could. I didn't, instead, I grabbed a pair of flip flops, changed into more presentable clothes which consisted of short shorts with a crop top and climbed out the window, taking a short walk to the beach.
I walked along the shore, the soft sand beneath my feet, the waves hitting my feet making white foam shoot up. Cool breezes rush through my hair soothingly. Foamy most of the ocean lightly sprays like the touch of the ocean. The silver moon hung from the lonely sky. I was busy admiring it when I suddenly felt myself falling towards the ocean, a small shriek of surprise escaping my lips.
I tripped on my own foot.
Yep. That's me. The girl who can't even stand properly.
I caused quite a splash. I stood up quickly and turned towards the figure who shoved me to say "You got me wet!" as angrily as I could while glaring into the person's eyes.
I thought I did pretty well but he just smirked,"I have that effect on girls. Sorry." The guy then stuck out his hand, "Calum Hood, world famous." That's when I realized that he was terribly drunk and possibly delusional, thinking he was famous and all, so telling him off would have no meaning as he'd forget everything the day after anyways. I ended up shaking his hand slightly, "Alison Campbell, sober."
He laughed, a soft chuckle along with a huge smile that made his big brown eyes crinkle. I don't know why I even noticed things like that but I cant help it especially when it comes to cute guys. "Well sorry, I might have had a bit too much to drink." Calum said still swaying lightly, his dark brown hair with blonde highlights flying around because of the chilly ocean wind. I accepted his apology mainly because he was drunk and I'm a pretty nice person.
"CALUM! There you are. You can't miss your own birthday party ya know." Some guy ran up to us saying. "But I was admiring the moonlit sky and the beautiful girl beneath it, Luke." I blushed which was strange for me as most guys I hang out with would rather compliment the beauty of nature than mine.
The blonde guy ran his hand through the highly quiffed hair he has, "You become really poetic when you're drunk." He then turned to me, "There's a party, you can come if you wanna. It seems like it would make Cal happy."
I quickly rejected his invite, I'm the kind of girl who stays inside to study instead of partying with my best buddies AKA popular kids, not that I had any of those, on a Friday night. "Oh no. I'm not really a party girl and I don't know anyone there." Luke replied, "I don't know anyone either. Only a couple people, it'd be nice to have someone with the same start." He then looked straight into my eyes with these deep blue ones that sparkled, who could say no to that? "Fine, strangers. Lead the way. Don't kill me okay?" "We're world famous. Murdering a hot teenage girl would cause quite a scandal, Ali." Calum laughed. "I cant be too sure about anything, Cal." I say, calling him by his nickname as well, and I pulled my phone out to google 'Calum Hood'.

Straight masterpieces"
The music was really loud. There were a ton of sweaty people bumping into everyone and making out in corners, drunk, possibly high. Luke pulled me up to the bar as Calum went to meet his other friends. Masks with Calum's face on them and some guy named Nathaniel were being thrown around. "Hi, what would you like to celebrate this special occasion on this fine night?" The bartender greeted me. I told her I'd like a punch and to surprise me. She laughed a bit and went, "A special kind of 'punch', huh? You're really looking to go crazy tonight." I didn't understand what she was talking about so I just smiled awkwardly. After a couple minutes, she gave me a cup of blue juice that smelled like berries while smiling mysteriously. I took a grateful gulp and Luke pulled me over to the sofas. Girls ran up to him pulling their phones out and taking millions of selfies and vines with him, after all he is famous, at least thats what I found out from my google search earlier. His band, 5 seconds of summer blew up last year with their single "She looks so perfect". Following their success, they released more singles during a tour with One Direction and there debut self-titled album. I really don't know much about the music industry, I only listen to Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran when I'm not busy which is rare. Luke looked annoyed because of those girls to be honest, probably because he has to take thousands of selfies everyday with fans but he still pulled off a couple smiles and funny faces. Meanwhile, I just stood there, nervously sipping my drink which was surprisingly good and really did have a special kick to it. "Oh my God, this is so awkward." I whispered mainly to myself after Luke finished taking all these selfies with people who claim to be his "best buddies". He must've heard me because he turned to me and flashed a smile, apologizing for those girls. We then took a seat on a nearby couch, chatting the night away. I think there was alcohol in my drink or something because next thing I knew, I was confidently dragging Luke to the dance floor. I don't dance. I tried to tell myself to stop but the punch made my mind blurry. We only danced for a while when my legs started feeling like jelly I had to go sit down, Luke willingly following me. That's when we sat down and started talking. He told me about the journey, how they got to where they are now and about his hobbies. Obviously, he enjoyed playing the guitar and singing but I also found out he has an undying love for penguins and that he loved rock music (All Time Low, Green Day, Fall Out Boy, all that stuff). I was really envious when he told me that he got to go to Taylor Swift's recent birthday party because I was kinda a Swiftie. He even told me personal things, like how he doesn't like taking off his shirt in public( unless he has to at the beach or something) because he's somewhat ashamed of his body. And I told him about my own life as well. I told him about my over-caring parents which was also the cause of my move. I told him about how l didn't know much about the music scene because I stay inside studying or watching TV all the time. I told him how much I loved pretty little liars aka one of the most dramatic shows ever. He was so great to talk to. It felt like I could talk to him about the most boring thing in this world and he would manage to make it seem fun and interesting. I loved the whole conversation we had. It was a night a wanted to remember, a night when I went to a party I could actually enjoy and a night where I met some new people whose company I actually enjoy. The rest of the night was a huge blur...-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
