I stepped into the limo and found a good-looking guy staring back at me, a bright smile on his lips.
He stuck out his hand as soon as I took a seat, "William Henders, inheritor of the Henders industry, pleased to meet such a beautiful young lady like you on this pleasant night."
He was a lot different from all the others nerds I had previously been set up with, he talked like a gentleman.
I politely returned his gesture, "Alison Campbell, daughter of lawyer Ryan Campbell. I would curtsy but obviously, the circumstances don't allow that."
He laughed lightly while brushing his fingers through his blond hair and fixing his tuxedo. I was pleased that Jess had picked out an outfit which was fairly formal, a dress, knee-length and my favorite color, mint.
"You look nice tonight, Alison. I planned a dinner for us at a table near a special beach. It has the perfect location, everything needed for us to have the best date possible."
I found the amount of work he had out into this was actually quite adorable. I was also surprised though, why had he agreed to take me out despite knowing that I just made out with a guy the night before?
He somehow noticed my confused expression, "I bet you're wondering why I agreed to this whole thing. I cant talk now," he stopped and jerked his head towards the driver signaling that he would be listening in, "But I will soon."
Almost right after, the car came to a stop and soon after, William was opening my door. We walked towards the beach(our table) together. The date went well and I found out that we have multiple similarities. For example, we are both night owls who prefer winters and love reading every romantic novel there is.
The difference is that he knew pretty much every singer and actress/actor that was "in" at the moment whereas I'm completely clueless. I was still surprised that I could have that much in common with a guy though. Especially not one my parents set me up with. Maybe I could end up marrying Will and be happy whilst keeping my parents happy.
It was at about 8PM when William's mood suddenly changed completely. His hazel eyes were nervously twitching and he was freaking out for no reason. Out of no where, he took my hand in his and looked straight into my eyes.
He then opened his mouth to speak and hopefully explain his actions. "Ali, I need to tell you something. A secret that I trust you to keep, that I need you to keep."
I nodded my head, telling him to continue. "You're really nice and all but the truth is I have my eyes on someone else."
I kind of wanted to laugh since he thought that I was taking this date so seriously but resisted, "What's wrong with this girl? Is she too normal for your parents approval?"
William quickly replied, "No. This person is actually rich as hell, my parents would love it to be honest. The real problem is, I'm dating a he not a she. I'm coming out to you because I need you to pretend to be my girlfriend so I can keep on dating him. I know you think my parents are shitty people who are homophobic and all that. In a way they are, I guess they think it okay to be gay but not if 'it' 'happens' to their kid. I need to keep them proud, the way you kept your parents by going on this date. Can you help me, please, Alison? I desperately need your help."
It took me a second or two to process all the new information I was just given. Basically, William is gay and I will be his fake girlfriend so he can go on dates with his boyfriend while pleasing his parents.
In the end, I nodded, I was nice and I liked Will so I was willing to help him out. He hugged me, really tight and said a bazillion thank-yous repeatedly. He got up immediately, calling for the check and telling me he has a date to go to.
"Call me Alison. I am the best G.B.F anyone could ask for. You be my Rachel and I'll be your Kurt. Thank god I finally spit that out. Acting straight was so hard, ugh. Anyways, you can go hang out with Luke from 5SOS while I'm 'in hiding' just be careful because paparazzi are everywhere and rich kids are their second favorite target, you know behind celebs."
William stood up and winked before waving goodbye and running towards a shadow who I assume is his date. Now what? I need to stay out until Will calls and tells me to get to the beach so we can go home together, like we spent the whole night beside one another which meant I wouldn't be able to go back to the lovable comfort of my bed.
After some pondering, I decided to walk to the nearby mall and get myself down ice cream. I'll probably just spend the rest of the night in BaskinRobins like this creep with no life. Not that I mind because that actually who I am.
I had no one to call since Jess is the only person I've ever been close to aka the only close friend I have and she is not an option. I was thinking about how I could escape this boring situation as I walked through the huge mall.
Here's the thing, when I think hard, I never really pay attention to anything around me which was a bad thing since I was in a public place with tons of people. Next thing I knew, I was on the ground near the mall's Mermaid Fountain and managed to knock someone's smoothie out of their hand. I stood up as fast as I could, mainly to avoid the smoothie puddle.
"I'm so sorry. I wasn't looking. This is all my fault. How much was that smoothie? I'll pay you back. Are you okay? I hope you are. Again, I apologize."
I heard a soft and familiar chuckle along with a mumbled "It's alright, Ali" and I looked up right way, slightly surprised that my name was mentioned, to find a familiar face looking at me: The world famous, Calum Hood.

Kinda a filler chapter. Sorry. I just needed to bring in William and fix the rumors so yeah.
