Annabeth
"Mumma, wen ill dadda be ome?"
I gritted my teeth, Paige asked this every day, demanding when her father will return home. It may be sad for her, but it made me burn with resentment to my husband. By 'every day', I mean every ten minutes yesterday and today. I missed him so badly, I had barely got any sleep but I pulled myself together, for my daughters sake.
"Soon baby, soon," She sniffled, then slowly nodded, turning her attention back to the train set. Even though she was 1, her adored fluffy, white onesie still was worn, and I did not have the heart to take it off, she looked adorable as she waddled over to her play set.
I continued to cook the pancakes, pouring the smooth mixture onto the frying pan, creating a perfectly circular circle. I then felt the sudden urge to go to the toilet and throw up. Paige looked at me strangely, wondering what was wrong with me and why I was doing it so much.
I fumbled with the door knob, before violently puking my guts out, a horrible, uneasy feeling settled in me, I clutched my midsection and wheezed. A horrible thought sprung into my mind, I couldn't be could I?.
I did not want to chance it, so I pulled out a pregnancy test I had gotten a couple days ago, just in case. I followed the instructions on it, and eventually one line appeared.
Good, I wasn't pregnant. I tried again, just to be sure and repeated the instructions. This time two lines appeared. Frantically, I tried again and reached the same result.
I was pregnant.
This is not how I wanted it to go. Paige was only 1, nearly two. The worst bit about it, was that there stupid father, was away, somewhere in Afghanistan. What if he died?, these children will grow up, and never get to meet their father. Paige was 1, 1 year of her probably 90 year life spent with her father?. Resentment for my idiotic husband grew more and more, if it had not already.
I mentally erased those thoughts out of my mind, Percy was going to come home. I repeated it like a mantra, convincing myself that he would return.
I went into the living room to pick up Paige, or 'aige' as she called herself and lifted her up into my arms
"Mama," She giggled, but not as bubbly as when her father was here. I scowled.
"Come one baby, were going to the doctors," She looked at me confused, probably not understanding a word I just said. She seemed to understand that we were going in the car, she laughed her endearing laugh and laid her head on my shoulder.
I strapped her in to her seat, and climbed into mine. Together, we drove off to the hospital, her happily playing with her toy 'Thomas the Tank Engine'. It brought back a happy memory of when I got that gift. Me and Percy were on holiday in London, when we had bought it. I had been 5 months pregnant at the time, so It seemed appropriate. I didn't actually think my baby would even like it, but I seemed to have been proved otherwise.
That happy memory then led me to the fact it should be Percy driving and me in the other seat, after that, I clutched the steering wheel a bit tighter.

Arriving, I got the now sleeping Paige into my arms. Her little fists clutched onto me, I could see a small smile appear as she adjusted to the warmth of her mother.
"What can I do for you, miss?" The lady at the reception asked
"Doctor Solace please?"
"Room 142," She replied before furiously tapping away at her computer. I made my way to the door, I opened it to reveal Will 'chatting' to Nico.
I smirked, this was not the first time I had walked in on them, they had told us they were 'chatting'.
"Once you guys are done, Will can check if i'm pregnant or not," They broke away with a gasp, blushing from head to toe. I laughed at their expense.
"Hey!, umm-can you sit there please?.." Will stuttered, Nico took Paige into his hands and held her as I sat down. Will pulled on some gloves and hastily rubbed some cream on my belly, still blushing like Apollo's cows.
He pulled out some scanner and glided it over my belly. A few seconds later, two beeps rang out.
Will read the result and grinned "Congrats Annabeth, you have twins. I don't know the gender yet," .
I sighed, yet again, it should be Percy who should be here with us. I nodded, I wasn't really sure how to react to information like that.
"How far am I along?"
"One month." Now, I expected a few days not a month. "You're due.." He checked a computer. "July 18th".
One day before Percy came home.
I sighed, I thanked them and let them get back to their 'chatting' and hastily took Paige with me and climbed in the car. Once we were home, I pulled sleepy Paige onto my lap.
"You here that Paige, you're going to have two siblings!!" I told her.
"Aige ibling?," She asked, confused on what in Hades I was saying.
"Yes Paige!, oh, this is great!!" I said, twirling my daughter around. Happy laughs rang out around the empty house.
Oh Percy, where are you when I need you?
A/N: Short, there will be one from Percy's view point next. I think this is the first one from Annabeth's POV. Anyway, comment anything in the comments and remember to vote!
Thanks,
Bob
