The flight was short, just under two hours and I was thankful enough to have slept through the entire trip. I was currently waiting at the carousels for my luggage and I caught sight of a few people eyeing me up and down. It felt weird. Was there something on me? Shit..was my shirt inside out? I quickly looked down and tried to not look too conspicuous and tried to check my outfit. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. I readjusted my headphones before pulling the hoodie over my hair in an attempt to hide from the onlookers. Absentmindedly, I tugged at the paws of my oversized hoodie and that's when I realised. How could I even forget? Tattoos weren't as common here as they were in NZ and this became very apparent to me when I caught sight of someone looking at my hand and quickly avert their gaze. Silently, I thanked myself for choosing a tight pair of jeans. It was only transitioning from Spring and it wasn't hot or cold so I didn't really know what to expect.I was here during Winter on my last visit to Seoul. My phone buzzed incessantly in the pocket of my jumper and I grabbed it to concentrate on something else.

My phone buzzed again but I looked up for a moment to see if my bags were in sight. Ma forced me to pack so much stuff for Jackson because he hadn't been home in a while. She had jammed his favourite snacks and drinks into the bags and left me with the task of writing it all up in the declaration forms, as though I knew what she had jammed in there.
