Modern AU - High School
Smut warning
Lyon: 16
Ephraim: 17"Ok boys, I'm off." Vigarde stepped out the front door of Lyon's apartment. He worked all day at the hospital and sometimes took on the night shift as well (like tonight), so he could afford to raise Lyon. He stopped and turned back to them.
"Look, I don't want to pry or anything, but you guys have been together for a while now, so if anything you know... happens," He wiggled his eyebrows, "be gentle with him Ephraim."
Lyon turned beat red and buried his face into Ephraim's chest, curling his fists to grab onto his sweater. Ephraim just laughed at his boyfriend and ruffled his hair.
"Don't worry sir, I'd never intentionally hurt him."
Lyon whined in embarrassment. His father smiled and nodded towards them as he left to go to work.
Ephraim looked down at Lyon, who was still hiding his face. Ephraim smiled again and grabbed Lyon's shoulders to gently push him back so he could press a short kiss to his soft lips. As he pulled back he cupped the smaller boy's face and just admired his beauty. The soft expression, gentle eyes, smooth skin, and sharp jawline. Like an angel, just for him.
Lyon was growing shy under Ephraim's full attention and turned his head off to the side. Ephraim pecked his cheek and grabbed his fragile wrist, leading the way to his boyfriend's bedroom.

They were laying side by side on Lyon's bed, Ephraim facing the ceiling and Lyon on his side, facing Ephraim. Lyon was doing something on his phone, probably reading knowing him. Ephraim looked over at the younger boy, his pale skin glowing in the late afternoon light.
How lucky he was to have such a person in his life. Lyon had saved Ephraim's life so many times without even knowing. Ephraim knew Lyon had a tough childhood, with his mother being the person she is, and yet he was the kindest person Ephraim had ever met, and he still took on not only his burdens but Ephraim's as well. And so to make up for that, Ephraim would do everything he could to help Lyon, whether that was just sending a text to check up on him, holding him as he tried to fall asleep, or comforting him through a panic attack. The first time he ever broke down in front of Ephraim, he swore he'd never leave Lyon's side. He loved Lyon so much that he wanted to give him his all, although Lyon wasn't quite ready for that, they'd never gone past kissing, and Ephraim was more than happy to wait for him.
The first time Ephraim asked, they'd been at a party. One of Ephraim's jock friends threw a one and invited them both. The good thing about his friends was that they weren't like the assholes you see in movies. They were nice to the other students and respectful towards women. They knew how much Lyon meant to Ephraim and even went so far as to look out for him, helping him when needed, directing him to Ephraim when he couldn't find him, keeping him company as he waited for Ephraim to shower and get changed after a game.
At some point during the party they'd ended up in a bathroom, drunk and making out, even though neither of them could legally drink. Ephraim asked if he could go further, but Lyon blushed and looked away. He just cupped his face and pressed their foreheads together.
"It's ok," He whispered, the scent of alcohol lingering in his breath. "You don't have to."
Lyon just gazed at him with appreciation. That night they kissed until their lips were numb and their necks were covered in marks, and that was enough for Ephraim.
The second time, Lyon was spending the night over at Ephraim's. His father was away on a business trip and his twin sister had come to visit. It had been a fair while since the party, Ephraim wanted to make sure he didn't push Lyon and make him uncomfortable or feel obligated, so he gave him plenty of time.
