I just hope you see me in a little better light
Do you think it's easy being of the jealous kind?
Cara sat in her usual spot with Draco in their DADA class. To say the young witch was bored was an understatement. Blaise was poking her head with a pencil from the desk behind her while Pansy drew doodles in her textbook.Still no sign of Professor Lupin.
Cara looked back towards the door and gave out an exasperated sign before whispering to Draco, "do you have absolutely any idea where Professor Lupin could be?"
Draco shrugged his shoulders and simply shook his head, "no clue." A smile crept on his face when he saw Potter and Cara groaned knowing he was going to try to find a way to bother Potter the whole class and ignore her while he did so.
Now you may be wondering why Draco and Cara are even talking now. Well you see, ever since that night a few days ago Cara happened to be the first one to wake up as to not bring suspicion. If her father even heard that she left the Slytherin sleeping area and snuck to the Gryffindor area he would flip. Not to mention what would happen if anyone saw her cuddled up to a Weasley. That's right. When she woke up she was fully taking over his space. Not that he seemed to mind. His arm was snaked perfectly around her in a loose embrace and his head was hiding behind her ear. Her hair was practically all over him but with the snoring he did, it clear it didn't seem to affect him. What made it worst for her case however was that she was sleeping on her back all sprawled out. And one of her legs were in between his. Someone definitely would've thought they were...lovers! And the mere thought made Cara sick. No doubt Ron would feel the same. So she did what she had to and carefully got out of his embrace. Although when a certain smelly old rat came out from under her pillow she had to fight everything within her not scream.
She hated that rat.
Draco was the second to wake up that night because he wanted to find Cara and make sure she was alright. So when he woke up to find the young girl talking to her Godfather- who if I may add looked like he was absolutely scolding her, Draco wasted no time in walking towards her. By the time he made it to her she was just finishing a warm embrace with Snape. When Draco had asked Cara where she was she told him that she was with Pansy a few beds down. He believed her of course. For what other reason did she have to lie? So, as the rest of the school began to stir, and groan, and wake up to the awfully magical sound of a rooster crowing that Dumbledore put, Cara and Draco were able to talk.
He pulled her into his chest that very morning and hugged her. She however did not return it, but that only made him squeeze her closer.
"I'm so sorry Cara. I didn't mean to tell them about...about...your father. It slipped I swear and it won't happen again. They are as dumb as they look they believed you when you said you pranked me." He stammered out.
She hugged him back which he returned with a small gasp escaping his pink lips.
"I can never be mad at you Draco." She cooed.
