Cara squinted her eyes as she regain consciousness. She wasn't in her coat anymore, actually she wasn't even outside anymore. Her eyes took a few seconds to clear but the throbbing she felt in her head remained. She couldn't remember what happened. One moment she was laughing with Hermione and Ron and the next all she could see was this symbol of a skull engulfed but a snake.

She was in the hospital wing. The lights were dimmed signally it was as well into the night. She wondered for a second where Madam Pomfrey could be but she remembered that she's a human as well and needs her sleep.

She tried her hardest to ignore the weird sensation on her body. It was a burning heat that grew since that day in Snape's class and it's only getting worst. With one movement she tried to get up but realized she couldn't. A stupid bloke was laying his head on her legs completely passed out.

"Gosh Ronald." She groaned. Yet a smile danced on her lips like a ballerina in the spring. It was touching to know that maybe he cared enough to stay. She combed her fingers through his hair and allowed him to sleep some more. It was clear he was exhausted. Merlin knows how long he has been here.

She never noticed how bright his hair was. It was like a raging fire. It matched him quite well. He too was a raging fire in her world. Maybe he thought the same for her? But she knows the chances were slim.

She quietly combed the knots out and sang a tune to herself.

Of all the money
That e'er I had
I spent it in good company
And all the harm I've ever done
Alas, it was to none but me

"You sound lovely."

Her singing seized and her hands stopped. Ron lifted his head slowly and stretched wildly with a yawn. She stared at him starstruck and greatly embarrassed. He noticed her reaction and stifled a laugh, all too amused with the idea that he possibly startled the girl.

"Can you finish it?" He asked. His voice was raspy from just waking up.

"Can I what?"

He pulled his chair in closer to her. "The song." He answered. "I was enjoying it."

She ignored his statement, "shouldn't you be in your dorm?"

He was quiet for a moment. Unsure on how to answer but she needed to know why. She has always been so cruel to him. "You were out cold, no one knew what happened to you. While Hermione waited for Harry I carried you back here. Madam Pomfrey hadn't got a clue what happened to you and just said you should rest to see what happens. I was going to leave and then..." he stopped and furrowed his eyebrows. He was contemplating something.

Cara mustered up the courage to ask him, "and then?"

Her soft voice sounded heavenly to him. "You whispered my name."
