It's the calm before the storm

So many people have shown up these past four days. Matthew and part of his family who were willing to fight came, some of the witch covens Alexandria got in contact came, some of angels were willing to fight though not so much and grandpa called up a couple friendly demons. But as we get close to what Sage likes to call Judgement Day everyone is on their toes. No one truly knows when she'll attack but everyone knows it's soon.

I hear a knock and turn towards the door and see Calore.

"Am I interrupting mommy and babies time or no?" he asked walking in.

I shook my head at him.

"Not at all," I say as I put the book I had on my lap onto the table and stood up.

"Good because we have a little adventure to adhere to," he rubbed my now officially 7 months belly.

Crazy how nearly two months ago I was only a month pregnant and now I'm seven.

"So where are we going to?" I asked as he took my hand and we walked out the study.

"It's a surprise," he answered.

We walked outside to his car and got in and drove off. We drove for about 15 minutes before he pulled onto a side road and continued down until we couldn't no more.

"Where exactly are we?" I asked looking out the window.

"Up ahead is a cabin. It's where I want you stay with the babies," he answered. "Sage, Arabella and Ember will keep you company".

"So you're not staying with us?" I asked as we got out the car. "You're going out there to risk your life and fight?"

He rounded the front and took my hand.

"I'm fighting for the future of our family that we're about to have. I would be more useful out on the battlefield than here. If I stayed here, that's one less person fighting," he countered. "I know it seems dangerous but this is the only way I can protect you three".

"I don't like this one bit Calore," I reply.

"I know, I know," he guided me away from the car onto a path.

We walked down the path then made a right and walked down a flight of steps. As we neared the cabin I took it it's features.

"It's beautiful," I smile.

He chuckled.

"I knew you'd like it," he says.

We walked the small rock path leading to the front door. Calore lifted the mat and retrieved a key from under it. He unlocked the door and stuck the key in his pocket.

"You ready?" he asked with his hand on the handle.

I nodded. He turned the knob and opened the door. I walked in and stood in the small but comfy living room. The walls were a beautiful dark rich wood along with the floors. The couch, sofa, and arm chairs were a light tan color. I looked to my right saw three beams separating the living room and the kitchen. There was two islands and a medium size booth table in the right side of the kitchen. Okay maybe it won't be bad staying here without Calore.
