After strolling around for a bit we were lucky enough to find a hotel to spend our night in. It took us a little while, but i was still grateful for a place to rest.
Luckily the staff didn't question why we appeared the way we did, or why we were out so late. Muichiro straight up told them that we had just escaped a fire, and that a building is currently burning down.
We don't know what happened after that. The room we got was big enough for the three of us, and i was received to see that there were two beds in the room.
Thank God. I didn't want to have to share a bed with again.
A few moments after we had gotten comfortable in our room, there was a knock on the door.
A few seconds passed and no one answered, so i got up and walked over to do myself.
"Yes?" I asked.
Standing a foot from the door a man looked down at me. "Hello, sorry to bother you. I was told to give these to the three of you?"
He peered behind me, further in the room, making sure he'd gotten the amount of people right. "Here," he said, handing me a short pile of neatly folded clothes.
I took them from his hands. "Thank you, very much," i said, giving a head nod of gratitude. I was honestly too tired to make myself smile.
I shut and locked the door after the man had left, sending a goodnight to the other two.I approached Mitsuri, who sat on the edge of one of the two beds.
"Here," i mumbled, giving her a set of clothes from the pile.
"Thanks." She reached up to her chest to unbutton the rest of her uniform, but hesitated.
"Um, where can I change?" She asked me, calling attention to the only male in the room.
Though the boy wasn't even doing anything, just sitting on the other bed, staring out of the window. My eyes scanned the room for a room divider that Mitsuri could change behind, but for some reason, there was none.
I sighed. Looking at Muichiro i thought, surly he wouldn't mind waiting outside the room for a bit.I cleared my throat to try and get his attention, but he kept staring behind the curtain. So i tried again, but this time louder. "AHEM. Tokito-san," i called.
When he finally looked at me his eyes were half lidded. He looked really tired.
Then he suddenly got up and opened the door.
"Where're you going?" I asked, curious where he'd be heading this late.
He turned halfway to me, saying that he just had to use the restroom real quick.
"Oh, ok."
Once he'd gone, i took one of the night clothes from the pile to start changing.
Though he could definitely take care of himself, i didn't really trust that Muichiro would remember what his question was when he found an employee.I bet he's gonna come back with a full bladder. Haha.
Wearily unbuttoning the top of my uniform i hoped that Muichiro wouldn't happen to come back so soon and catch either of us in the middle of uncovering ourselves. That...would be awkward.
We each got in our own separate beds.
"Goodnight," Mitsuri called over.
I forced myself to reply. "Goodnight."
Only as my eyes began to close did my mind register the fact that we had left left nowhere for the Mist pillar to lay down.
I considered sharing a bed with Mitsuri, but i felt far too exhausted to move.Muichiro POV
As i leisurely sauntered down the hallway, I speculated that both beds would already be taken when i got back.
My guess was correct; for after opening the door and stepping inside, the further i went into the room, i could see two lumps tucked underneath the blankets.
In the one closer to me, a head of pink and green hair stuck out from under the blanket. So, assuming that Atsumi must've been in the other, i went over to that one.Though it was mostly dark, moonlight shone through the thin curtains that draped over the windows.
Her back rising and falling in a slow pattern, it was obvious that the Leopard breath user was sound asleep.
Walking around to the other side, i pulled the blanket back, laid down and got comfortable. Longing to be in my own bed, i was ultimately nodded off into a long awaited slumber.
