Gentle rays of sunlight spread across the light blue canvas, complimented by the soft breeze of leaffall. I intake the breath of morning dew.
While in motion, i sense two others walking along side me. As assumed, the two Hashira i was paired with are seen walking in the same direction as me.
Muichiro noticed me but didn't address me, so i went first.
"Goodmorning."
He reluctantly responded, "goodmorning."
The garden pebbles crunched beneath our feet, as we walked over the HQ grounding.

Author POV

Soon, the two Hashira, plus Atsumi, had arrived in the capital of Japan, Tokyo. After running the way there, now their mission would begin.

"Wow! There's so many people!" Kanroji explained.
Atsumis eyes widened. The love pillar was correct, there were indeed a lot of people walking around. Most of them dressed in formal attire, and here I am prancing about with a damn sword.
Though, Tokito did not share the same level of astonishment as the girls. It would take a lot to amaze this quiet boy.
Mitsuri continued to gawk at the large amounts of inhabitants, but for Atsumi, this only brought back memories.
My home town would get packed like this, sometimes. I hope i can visit again soon.

Atsumi POV

Kanroji, the girliest of girls, brought up the choice of how to spend our hours until sunset.
"Let's go but some jewelry!" The green eyes girl clapped her hands in excitement.
I cerebrated weather i was in the mood or not, and looked to the mist pillar for his input. Though, he was not even paying us any mind. Just lost in a daydream.

"Excuse me, Tokito-san?"
When he didn't respond i touched his wrist. "Tokito-san, Are you listening?"
He'd finally snapped out of it, blinking out of his trans. He stared at me with those thoughtless, cold eyes.
Now that I got his attention, i asked, "don't you think we should just stick to the mission, instead of shopping? "
And just like that...boom, there he goes staring at nothing again.

Turning back to Mitsuri, i sighed. "Look, i don't think we have time to look around at stuff. Even if we did, i don't think he would want to be with us." I gestured my body to the boy with us, sitting there and doing nothing.
"O-oh, you're right. That's fine." She tried to mask her disappointment with a cute smile, but i could right past it.

I exhaled a heavy sigh.
Where is it were supposed to go, again?

Voicing my thoughts, the mint eyed boy mumbled something to him along the lines of, "what did we come here for, again?"
"From what my crow told me, there have been a few random demon spawnings," i answered.
"I heard some rich man is throwing a party!" Mitsuri added.
"Yes. And I'm guessing Oyakata-sama wanted us to keep everyone attending safe."

I bet he didn't hear a thing i just said, i thought. And i was correct, his big eyes were staring off into the sky, paying me no mind whatsoever.

That's fine. I'll remind him later.

A few moments later

The food loving Hashira forced me to go and get a bite with her. Having not eaten breakfast, i complied.
We looked around until we found a bakery.

As we waited in line, i heard someone sniffing behind me.
"Smells good," said a familiar voice.
I had almost forgotten that Muichiro was with us, he's always so quiet.
When the woman ahead of us was finished, Mitsuri and i both ordered a waffle.

"You getting anything?" I asked the boy behind me.
Muichiro answered with his own question. "What are you getting?"
"A waffle. And so is she," i replied.
"Hm, ok."
Soon we all left the bakery with our breakfast.

Mitsuri ate her Taiyaki filled with chocolate, and i ate my plane jane waffle. Muichiro-what I'm guessing- happily bit into Taiyaki which was filled with red bean paste.

He looks so cute when he's eating.
The way his cheeks move around as he chews the soft, sweet dough, and how his eyes didn't leave the food he held was adorable.

I'll smoosh your face one day, so watch your back.

We sat on some benches in a park while still eating. For some reason, Muichiro sat away from us. Thought he wasn't far by all means, i still felt kind of bummed that he hadn't sat next to me. I've grown to like being around him, catching little details and habits of his.

Eh, what ever. I shrugged it off.

We later roamed aimlessly, walking the streets of the lovely city. Then eventide welcomed itself. Beautiful lights shone bright in the darkening city.
I stopped a young man in his tracks to ask for the address of this grand event.
"Ah, yes. It's right over there." He pointed his finger to the top of a not-so-short, lit up building down the street.
"Ok. Thank you," i said.
