"What is it that happens at these parties?" You insist and raise an eyebrow at him, surprised that he seems so unkeen to tell you. "Do tell me, will you not? I shall only ask around and find out for myself."
"I do not doubt at all that you shall." He raises a gentle eyebrow and leans back against his chair, watching you closely. "You shall not know what any of this means either way, miss (y/n)."
"I still wish to know."
"Sometimes things are... well.. perhaps a little more scandalous." Benedict's eyes narrow slightly, but he leans in. "The parties here are not known for their innocent nature, (y/n). In fact, quite the opposite... that is why you should probably not wish to tell many people you have been here. You are a young lady and I am sure the ton shall not take too kindly to knowing you have been bought here. And especially not by myself."
"Ah." You smile at this comment. "You are well known for your scandalous behaviour, are you?"
"You might say so."
