Daniel's pov

I don't know what's troubling Lily, but all I want is to hold her in my arms. I never imagined I'd find my mate so soon; I thought I would end up like my dad, marrying someone else. Yet, I'm grateful to the Moon Goddess for bringing Lily into my life, even if this isn't how I envisioned meeting my mate.

Lily is a tough nut to crack, but once I have her for good, I won't let her go. I need to figure out who she despises, as that person seems to be driving her away. I'll deal with them swiftly, because I'm determined to find out what's making her want to leave.

Lily's pov

By the time we reached the pack house, she didn't bother shifting back to me. She went straight into the house in her wolf form. No one said anything because they could sense she was in control and wanted her mate.

Mud was all over the place as she walked. I stayed silent as she barged into his room. He was nowhere in sight. She howled and began to sniff out his scent.

Daniel's POV:

I was in a pack meeting with my father when I heard my mate's wolf howl. It wasn't a howl of pain, but of emotional hurt. I rushed out, finding my mate's wolf coming toward me in full control. The only time a wolf acts like this is when they need to be around their mate, or when their mate is causing them emotional pain.

I commanded her to shift back into her human form. My father, the elders, and pack members watched in shock. Her wolf could have caused serious harm because she was away from her mate. I lifted her off the ground while the others scattered.

Once we were in my room, I said nothing. I was disappointed in Lily. Why did she let her wolf take control like that? I gave her some clothes to put on while she sat quietly, staring at her fingers.

Daniel:
"Why did you give your wolf full control? Why was she angry?"

Lily:
"She wasn't angry."

Daniel:
"Then what was it? Was she happy? She was hurt, Lily. I could feel it. My wolf still feels it. He's howling in my head, wondering why she was hurt."

Lily:
"I'm leaving."

Daniel:
"What does leaving have to do with this? Your wolf could have hurt a lot of people. All you talk about is leaving. Shut up! I'll tie you to this bed if I have to. You are never leaving me, so just be quiet and sleep. I have more important things to deal with."

Lily:
"I'm not leaving you. I want to go home. I don't want to be here. I want to go home. And don't you ever... ever talk to me like that again, or I will pack my things and be gone before you even blink. So don't test me."

I stayed silent, not wanting to add fuel to the fire.

Lily:
"And if you want to know why she was hurt, just like you said, you have more important things to do than reply to a message. She wanted you, and I wanted to give you your space. She thinks you don't need space, but now she's more hurt than ever. Not only is she hurt, but I am too. You don't get to blame me. I gave her full control because I wanted her to run... run and forget that you don't have time for us."

She got up, slammed the door, and left. How did I mess things up so quickly? She could have killed most of my warriors, and they wouldn't have fought back because they knew she was their future Luna. My father would be angry, but he's very understanding. When I tell him what happened, he'll probably scold me and wish he'd found his mate as quickly as I did.

Lily's POV:

I feel so sorry for my wolf. She went against my wishes and could have gotten us both killed. Luckily, they recognized her as their future Luna. I know he's angry, but that gives him no right to treat me like that. I'll just have to show him what it's like for a wolf to need their mate. I'm going to hide from him for now.

I know am taking too long to update is just I am dealing with alot at home right now and it's taking a toll on my emotions and am putting all that in the book so it gonna be a ruff ride

This book is really dramatic so I will give you guys a breeze from the drama let's have a happy chapter where nothing goes wrong.....
