"C'mon kids!! We are going to the movies!" my mom shouted down the hallway.

I rushed down the steps and ran out the door. I've been waiting to see this movie since the 1st one came out! We were going to see Pitch perfect 2! Eep! I was soo excited! My brother slumped down the steps slowly; he didn't really wanna see a chick movie, but mom and dad made him.

We started up the Ferrari 458 and pulled out of the driveway. Mom and dad put on a 107.5 "The River" and Duane and I started rocking out and singing to all the songs. Our parents giggled at us.

My mom is a beautiful young woman, her name is Brianna Nicole Julsgard and my dad is awesome! Secretly I was a daddy's girl! My dad and I are super close. His name is Christopher Caleb Julsgard.

I looked up and what I saw happened so quickly! I just saw a semi truck ram into the front of the car and from there we spun out of control! The last thing I remember before blacking out was seeing my mom and dad's limp bodies in front of me.

Present day

I woke up with tears streaking down my face.. How could I possibly forget all those years spent with people I loved so much!? I reached out for my brother but he wasn't there. I called out his name and he rushed into the room in a panic. "Abby!? Abigail! Are you ok!? You know it's like 2 AM right!?" "No I didn't but I remember!" I started sobbing uncontrollably. Then Duane came over and held me and started stroking my hair soothingly. "Shh be quiet or the nurses will come kick me out again." he said quietly. I started drifting off to sleep but I felt him move beside me and then I felt arms wrap around my torso. "Stay with me until I fall asleep?" I asked him quietly. "Of course lil sis" He chuckled.

"Just like old times.." I smiled as I drifted off into my 1st peaceful sleep since the accident.

"Abby... Abigail... ABBY!!!" My eyes shot open and I woke with a start. " What, what?! " I sat up quickly and surveyed the room for the emergency. Lightheadedness followed swiftly, and I had to lay back down. Duane looked relieved and surprised, " I'm sorry sis.. I've been looking at those peaceful eyes for the past two years, yesterday excluded, and I was afraid you wouldn't wake up again." Duane said, looking embarrassed.

There was an awkward silence between us, and then he asked a question that flipped my world upside down.

"Ready to go home?"
