"I'm back, kora!"
Although Tsuna knew exactly who was at the entrance, he still spared a glance over his shoulder. "Welcome back, Colonnello."
Tsuna brought the rest of the dishes from the kitchen, and took his seat at the table. "How did the training with Lal go?"
Colonnello rolled his eyes while washing his hands. "It was even worse today, kora. She wouldn't let me take a break or catch my breath. I thought I was going to die, kora. Just how much does she hate me?"
Tsuna found himself smiling as Colonnello sat down in front of him, continuing to grumble under his breath. Ever since Colonnello started his training at COMSUBIN, it had soon become the norm for him to complain about his training sessions everyday, as well as his attempts to woo his instructor, Lal.
"Well, what did you do this time? Surely Lal wouldn't have done that if you didn't try anything?" As the grumblings died down, Tsuna glanced up just in time to catch Colonnello huffing childishly to the side.
Tsuna laughed at the action, and shook his head fondly when Colonnello poked at his food, even going as far as pouting.
"It couldn't have been that bad, could it?" Tsuna took a bite from his plate, and watched Colonnello for his reaction.
"It wasn't that bad, kora!" After some hesitation, Colonnello mumbled, "Well, at least I don't think it was that bad, kora. I only gave her a compliment and carried her when she sprained her ankle."
Tsuna snorted as he pictured the scene. Although he had only met Lal once, from the way that Colonnello always talked about her, he had a pretty good idea of how Lal would act.
"I'll bet she didn't appreciate that, did she? Probably said that you were making a huge deal out of nothing, and struggled a lot when you picked her up."
A slight smirk appeared on Colonnello's face as he reached for the bottle of sauce by his elbow. "It almost seems like you know her better than I do, kora."
Tsuna stared as Colonnello uncapped the bottle and poured the sauce onto his plate, "That couldn't have been all, for her to struggle so hard that her slap is still visible on your face. What else did you do?"
"I..." Colonnello trailed off before sighing, "I may have accidentally touched somewhere I shouldn't have, kora."
Noticing that Colonnello's cheeks were getting a little pink, Tsuna bursted out with laughter.
"Well, well, look at this," he laughed as he wiped a tear from his eye. "The great Colonnello, a playboy who even hits on his own instructor, got embarrassed! All because of a slip of hand that may not have actually been accidental according to his mind!"
"Oh, shut up, kora! Don't treat me as if I'm some kind of pervert!" Hiding his red cheeks by propping his head up with his palm, Colonnello stuffed a spoonful of rice into his mouth.
"How could I ever treat you as some pervert?" Tsuna grinned. "Don't worry, in my eyes, you're still the pure little boy that I met five years ago. Oh, and pass the sauce, please."
Colonnello did as he requested and passed the bottle over, while muttering under his breath, "I'm not a little boy, kora. Don't forget that I'm still older than you."
Tsuna only smiled as he tilted the bottle over, pouring the sauce onto his plate. Five years ago, he remembered, was when they had first bumped into each other on the streets—literally.
He had been in a hurry to get to work then, so he ran down the streets without much attention. And when he had glanced at his watch to check the time, he suddenly found himself staggering back after crashing into someone. Since he was about to be late, he didn't take a good look at who he had crashed into, and only shouted a quick apology before running off again.
