Horrors by the Hudson

Chapter One

His hands wrapped around my neck, squeezing, as he shoved me up against the wall. My back dragged across the rough coarse wall. as he pushed me onto the bed. I couldn't breathe, I couldn't move.

"Chase don't! Stop! I can't breathe!" I choked out as he just squeezed harder.

"Just stay still and it will be over soon." He chuckled, enjoying himself like always.

He ran his hands all over me making me squirm. The lights dimmed, but lit enough to just make out his 6 foot figure and his piercing dark brown, hazel like eyes. His hands reached my butt and squeezed. I tried to move but he just hit me across the face, I could already feel it start to bruise. I squirmed again as his hands trailed up from my butt to my breast and cupped them. He kicked me this time. I tried to fight and get away, but he punched, kicked, and hit me over and over again, until his last blow and everything went black.

I shot up in my bed. The cold sweat ran down my sticky forehead and my dried tears reached my mouth. I could taste the saltiness. I looked over at the clock on my bureau. 4:26am. Another night of what feels like no sleep. I pulled the heavy, wet, tear and sweat soaked blanket off of me and threw it in the dirty laundry. I only sleep with a blanket over me cause I know when I wake up in the morning if I had sheets they would be soaked and I would have to clean them anyways. I got up and got into the shower. The hot water ran over my head and down my shoulders, then back and down my legs till it reached my feet. I washed up and got out. My work clothes were folded neatly on the counter beside the sink. I put on my mid rise black khaki pants and maroon button down blouse, tucking it into the pants. The mirror is all foggy from the steam, I head towards the kitchen. Grabbing my badge off the kitchen counter, I run out the door realizing I'll be late.
