Once upon a time, a little red-head newborn baby went missing from the most peculiar place, the infant fell through a looking glass only to end up in a place unknown to its birth home.
The baby was found by a wonderful couple and was brought into their comfy, cozy house. home to which, was another tiny baby. From that day on, they were known as the Kingsliegh twins: Alice and Elizabeth.
The twins grew into beautiful young women, one of which had her mothers light blonde hair, and the other had rich red-wine saturated hair for which she cherished dearly; it was the thing that made her stand out from everyone else around her. it was, is and always will be her confidence.
As Elizabeth grew up she noticed that she didn't particularly look and act like the ones around her. she had a short stature with very pale skin, deep red hair and a very noticeable gap between her too front teeth. it didn't stop her from being herself; overly loud, confident and very self righteous. it just confused her. she sometimes asked her supposed mother an father, but her questions would always go unanswered. she also noticed that her 'parents' favoured Alice for the things she was superior at. for example, her love for ships always got her fathers attention. in short, Alice was what one could say 'daddy's girl' and she always let Elizabeth know it. Alice was devastated when he died, but it didn't affect Elizabeth as much because of the loss of contact she had with him.
As time went on the girls were sent to boarding school for a couple of years at a time, to "give them a proper glims of women hood" as their mother would always say. at 16 the girls mother started looking for suitable suitors her girls could eventually marry. after many months of vigorously looking she found the lord Hamish and Lord Lancaster for Alice and Elizabeth. both of them new they wouldn't want to marry them, but continued nonetheless and went to various meetings with the men.
Soon the girls drifted apart from each other, made new friends, gave each other none of their time.
Elizabeth (or Lizzie) never outgrew her-loud-confident-self-righteous-self, something Alice always hated about her, but she didn't mind. she didn't care about what anyone like Alice thought about her.
She didn't belong to London. she belonged to Underland. her home.
