Mad-Eye scowled. How could he have been late while Nymphadora was on time? Tonks could see the discomfort on her mentor's face and this made her very giddy indeed.

"Nice of you to join us Mad-Eye," she mused, obviously trying to egg on his annoyance.

Grumbling profusely, the handicapped wizard marched unevenly into the kitchen; making loud 'clunks' with his wooden prosthetic leg. The ex-auror sat down at the head of the table and waited for his trainee to follow him.

"Now, now Nymphadora- we haven't got all day."

Tonks took no notice of this and, infact, walked slower into the kitchen of copper and shades of brown. Taking a seat on one of the many chairs that accompanied the nobbly table, she let out a sigh and tapped her feet against the stone brick flooring.

"And will you stop banging those monstrosities against the brick? I thought I made it clear that you were to find more suitable footwear." a groan followed Moody's complaint. "But, nevertheless, I'm impressed that you were on time."

'Impressed?' thought Tonks, now giddy with the new information.

"Now, as you know, your rank in this organisation isn't ordinary. You're apart of the Advance Guard; a subsection of the Order. The Advance Guard are more hands-on and will be the face of the organisation."

"And you want me to be on all the posters? Well I'm flattered Mad-Eye that you think I'm so photogenic but-"

"We don't have time for jokes." his voice was stern and exacting, causing Tonks to sink into herself slightly. "We will need to retest your combat and flying skills before we can make this permanent. Think of this as a probation period. . ."

Flying? Combat? A walk in the park. Dora's concerns about training were alleviated; she was convinced she'd be done by the end of the day.

"I've sent an owl to the burrow, I suspect Molly is expecting us. You too, Remus." Mad-Eye didn't need to look towards the doorway to know the tall, thin figure of Lupin was leaning against the beaten frame.

"Oh- right. Of course. Will you be needing the-"

"Yes, now lets go."

Moody and Tonks stood up, almost perfectly in sync and then-

CRACK.

Arriving at the Burrow always made Tonks smile; it was a home away from home. This time was no different. The smell of cinnamon and a log-burning fire rushed through her sinuses as she took in the atmosphere. The trio approached the front door and had been stood just outside the thin gate. Something about the burrow made it special; you could ask anyone.
