My New Reality

I was looking around at the kids going nuts. I noticed that a young, blonde boy that was in a wheelchair came up to missy right away. I couldn't really listen to their conversation since they were far away, but I thought that he was probably introducing the girl to the others since she was new. Wildcard, who was sitting next to me, suddenly threw a bunch of papers up. 

He was amazed at the flying papers falling gracefully. I actually thought it was pretty cute, but I quickly shook my head in realization. "Oh come on dude!" I complain. He suddenly realizes that I spoke and faces me. "Right, sorry about that." He said, in a subtle tone. I felt a little bad that I may hurt his feelings a little so I apologized. Fortunately, he accepted it, and moved on. 

The blonde male and the new student finally come up to our table. "This is y/n!" He exclaimed. "She has amazing powers." "Wait, I have powers?" I question. The room suddenly goes quiet. The loud and abrupt noise came to a minimum, as it filled with an awkward silence. I instantly look at my little sister who's eyes were also widened. She gives me a death stare as I start to realize. 

"Oh uh...yea!" I reply. "I...have...superpowers." I start to awkwardly smile as the others were confused. All of a sudden, my little sister starts to laugh. "Oh, I forgot to tell you. She was kind of going through that "class clown" phase at regular school."  She implies. "I guess that's why you made that joke, right?" She scolds. The others instantly face me right after Ally talked. "Y- yeah! Totally!" The others start to awkwardly laugh with each other as they look at each other weirdly.

"Well, what are your powers?" The new girl asked. As she spoke, I felt my heart suddenly stop. My eyes stared to widen as I was shocked by he response. I quickly looked at my sister for help until suddenly heard Ally's voice in my head. 

"Say that you have super hearing, can read other people's mind, and also invisibility."

The voice implied. 

"Wh- who are you?" 

I asked the voice. (in my head of course)

"I'm your freaking sister. I scripted that you had super hearing, invisibility, and can read each other's minds. So say that you have super hearing, invisibility, and can read people's minds or else people are gonna figure out that your from a different dimension!"

"Alright alright!" 

I complained.

"I can read people's minds, invisibility, and I also have super hearing!" I exclaim. "Oh, that's super cool." Missy says. "Ok, try to think what I'm thinking." She says.

"Alright, try and focus on Missy's energy in the room, and only her energy. That way you'll know what she's thinking."  Ally stated.

I sincerely followed her instructions and focused on Missy's energy in the room. I suddenly heard a word in Missy's voice ring in my head.

"My favorite flavor of ice-cream is chocolate."

Missy's voice stated.

"Your favorite ice cream flavor is chocolate?" I ask. She suddenly gasps in denial at my response. "Oh my goodness, that's super cool." I shrug in embarrassment while I start to smile. "And this is our fearless leader wildcard." The young blonde male stated. "There's not a single power he doesn't have!" "True." The boy next to me boasts. 

A young boy wearing a basic purple shirt with some jeans suddenly came over to us. He slightly crouched to wildcard's height and quickly put his hand on his shoulder.

"Sure he has every power imaginable, but since he can't focus his energy, they show up randomly." He replies. "Also true." Wildcard realizes. "Until now." He quickly looked at me and smirked to show off his powers. I slightly blushed but just a bit so that the others wouldn't see. 

"Teleport!" He exclaims, as he shoots his arms at the book in front of him. The book suddenly starts to move, but it unexpectedly catches on fire instead. Me and Wildcard instantly flinch at the fire on the book. Wildcard's smile quickly fades in disappointment. "Ah sh-"

Everyone suddenly looks towards me in a stern manner, and quickly nudges towards a person. "Shhhh..." I continued, still noticing most eyes glaring upon me. Suddenly, we both see a firetruck made of water come over to us.

I quickly look over my shoulder to see an adorable little girl waving her arms around to move the water. "And last, but definitely not least, Guppy!" The blonde male exclaimed. "How in the world are you making that?" The new girl asked. "My mommy is Lavagirl, but my daddy is Sharkboy." The child replies. "Instead of lava, I move water!" 

She quickly shoots her arms down to make the water splash on top of the book. Wildcard instantly flinches at the water splashing in his face. I immediately look around and find a towel. I instantly pick it up and clean his cheek. "That's really cool!" Missy exclaimed. "Thanks."

After wildcard got cleaned up, we immediately stood up and walked over to the others. "So new girl," Wildcard started, "What are your superpowers?" As he spoke, I started to get the feeling where missy became nervous all of a sudden. I instantly started to focus on her energy so I would be able to read her mind.

"Yeah, so with the whole powers thing-" I suddenly hear her getting cut off by Facemaker. "Wait a second, I remember you! You're Marcus Moreno's kid!" He exclaims. "Yeah! My dad hasn't gone on any missions for a bit, so I've been chilling with the normal kids." She explains. "Why would they put a kid with superpowers in with the normal kids?" Wildcard questions.

I quickly look over to wildcard in shock and immediately hit his arm. "Ow." He mourns, while rubbing his arm in sadness as he made a pouty face expression. I quickly look over to missy and focus on her energy.

"What if they figure out that I wasn't born with any powers. I bet they'll all turn against me."

The voice said.

I wasn't as surprised, since I already knew that missy didn't have any powers, but I just kept my mouth shut and kept quiet. Wildcard instantly stops rubbing his arm and started to realize something. "Hold on. I know exactly what's going on." He implies. "You don't have any powers." "You're powerless?" Wheels asked in denial. 

Missy instantly sighs in regret. "Whatever. Can we put the tv on instead? I want to see what's happening with our parents." She instantly sits down at her table in the front and leans on her arm. We instantly start to walk towards our table as wheels put the tv on.
