My New Reality

As the others were still getting seated, I was still fascinated with the tv screen coming out of nowhere. "Sit down y/n, you might miss the show!" Wildcard cheered. I instantly smiled as I started to sit down as well. "You know this is an epic Heroic smack down even when they've called in Sharkboy!" The female anchor replied. A male in a blue shark uniform suddenly came up onto the deck with its shark buddy.

The room immediately filled with cheer as we all saw the captivating superhero up merge from the sea. "Earlier today, Sharkboy appeared from the ocean floors, landing on the beach of South Padre Island!" The male anchor stated. "And moments later, Lavagirl blasted up from inside a  volcano!" The female anchor replied. We all suddenly start to see an elegant and graceful superhero, with pink and purple hair, as she was matching with her outfit. 

She was riding a lava rock, with her hair flowing in the wind. It was practically on fire! "Go Sharkboy and Lavagirl!" The child in the front exclaimed. "And here's mayor Doolittle!" The female anchor bellowed. "At today's ribbon cutting for his new city hall, rebuilt after the last time the Heroics went into action."

The tv screen suddenly showed a crowd, standing in front of a big building with a ribbon in front of it. Just as the mayor was cutting it, a fast male wearing a yellow and black outfit raced towards the ribbon, causing it to break. "Did you see that? Of course you didn't!" The anchor replied. "That means it none other than blinding fast, the fastest superhero on the planet!"

A young boy right in front of me and wildcard suddenly lifted his arms up and yelled, "Go dad!" in slow motion. "And here comes crushing low!" As the anchor was introducing the superhero, he suddenly flew into a building from a drone. The building sadly fell down to the ground. "And there goes the mayor's new building in record time." The room suddenly filled with clapping and yelling, which made me confused. Were they proud that Facemaker's dad destroyed a building? I didn't know.

"These battles are insanely expensive for taxpayers, but they're so entertaining!" The female anchor replied. "Pass the popcorn, this battle's gonna be epic!" Wildcard said next to me. I suddenly got excited at the word "popcorn," since it was my favorite snack. Wildcard suddenly looked at me getting more and more excited, and smiled. The boy in front of us, slomo, turned around and slowly grabbed the popcorn box. 

His movements were very slow, which made me and wildcard impatient. Wildcard sighed in annoyance as we kept waiting for him to give us the popcorn. Slomo finally turned around once again. As he was giving the popcorn box to us, Wildcard quickly snatched the box from his hands, making some of the popcorn fall on the desk. I slightly laughed at wildcard's impatience and immediately turned to face him. 

He was looking at me in annoyance as I was still giggling. He quickly turned around to face the screen and started to lean on his arm while watching. I felt a little bad, but it was cute at the same time. I suddenly realized what I imagined in my head and shook my head. "No y/n, you are not gonna fall in love with a fictional character, not in this movie either!" I whispered to myself. He suddenly looked at me in confusion. "Did you say anything?" He asked. I suddenly got nervous but quickly said no. He later then shrugged and kept watching the fight happen. 

He suddenly looked at me slightly and started to speak. "You want some?" He asked in a soft tone. I instantly looked at him holding a piece of popcorn in his hand. I nodded slightly as I took the popcorn out of his fingers and popped it in my mouth. As I started smiling, I quickly faced the front again to see my little sister staring at me. I quickly gave her an, "Oh, shut up," expression and kept watching the big tv screen.

"We're actually getting some live footage now from the fight." The male anchor states. The screen suddenly changes to a woman in a simple pink and gold dress, standing in front of one of the alien spaceships. "And look who's back in action, it's Miracle Guy!" The woman exclaimed. "You didn't expect him to actually lose, did you?" The big tv screen immediately showed a glance of all the Heroics flying towards the alien space ship. They started getting genuinely confident, until the huge alien space ship suddenly opened the door, which made a bunch of mini alien space ships come out.
